  1. Buxton has struggled since coming back from his recent injury, and hopefully he can get it going. But to say Lewis is lost I don't understand. He has cooled off since his hot streak after coming from St. Paul. But he has drawing walks, laying off the outside pitch more and taking better AB's. Without his double last night, Roden's single would have just been a base hit and no RBI. Give him this year and see what he can do, he has shown signs that he can turn it around. And he is one of the most talented players on this team, so you should root for him to start showing it on the field which he needs to do. Because this team will be much better if he can do it.
  2. They haven't committed him to be a starter, they were using him in St. Paul as a bulk guy. I agree, start extending his outings and make him a starter.
  3. Their farm system is currently ranked in the top 10. I get adding more to that. But at some point you have to use those assets either here in Minnesota or trade them for quality front line starters in your lineup. It feels like they just keep adding but when do we see these additions contributing to a winning team. You want a winning a team next season, how does that happen if they keep adding more prospects then don't give them a shot up here.
  4. I am allowed to have an opinion, I am happy for his success and glad the Twins are winning. Just like everyone thought Kreidler was going to be just as the starting shortstop because of a couple or good games or Gray or Arcia as well. I look at everything he has done. And Keaschall and Larnach have contributed to more wins than Roden has this year and should not have AB's taken away from them. I will continue to post my opinions just like everyone else does, don't like them, keep scrolling.
  5. Do the Twins still consider him an option at 2B, they do need to decide where they want him to play. Moving him around is not going to help him improve on defense. I wasn't in favor of the move to the outfield but he has looked out better out there. Make a decision and if you think he doesn't have a position then try and get something for him this offseason, which I think would be a mistake.
  6. And they are producing. I think Roden might be a good 4th outfielder but that is his ceiling.
  7. Be careful, there are some that think Roden is a core piece and we need to prioritize AB'S for him.
  8. I am afraid that they are going to platoon him.. We don't know for sure, but from comments by Shelty, they seem to think Roden deserves at bats over others
  9. I think Prieliepp is being activated to start tonight.
  10. Hopefully they don't bring back any more outfielders unless they trade 4 or 5 or a clear upgrade over Jenkins.
  11. He was .133 for his career coming into the season and .120 for the month of July. So yes he does have a little work to do to get back to his career average.
  12. That's fair, it's just unfortunate that Kreidler has regressed back to his career norms. Was hoping he may have found something a little more than that.
  13. Who else do we have as a starter, Mick Abel and that's about it. Abel has had two good outings. Festa with his injury who knows if he will come back. Matthews consistently gives you 6 innings and keeps the team in the game most outings. Why the rush to move him to the bullpen. Do you want more guys like Sim who can't get thru 5 innings and gives up 4 runs or more every outing. At some point results have to matter.
  14. Culpepper and Jenkins need to be up here by Tuesday. They need the spark and Kreidler's bat has completely disappeared. His defense does not overcome that.
  15. Bradley had 73 starts coming into the season and Matthews had 25 coming into this season. Point is it took Bradley this long to become what he is this season and the Twins gave him a chance and Tampa gave up on him. Why not continue to give a player you drafted and developed the same chance.
  16. They need to move at least three outfielders from the mix between here and St. Paul between now and next season and not bring in any more. You will still have 9 outfielders available with Clemens available if needed.
  17. Lewis had two walks and some of the better plate appearances last night. Caratini and Lee looked bad at the plate last night.
  18. It may be time to get Culpepper up by next weekend. Kreidler has 6 hits this month, plays good defense. But need more offense than .120 ave.
  19. Woo-Suk Go just got ejected from the Saints game without throwing a pitch, don't know what happened.
