  1. Free agent arms this offseason were arguably sparse. However, trade partners are always available. Ryan could have worked something. He didn't. Holy Krap. Make a friggin move or two. Show some desire to get better. Take a risk. This $hit is just boring.
  2. Im gunna mark you down for a swear word and kicking something over at your house. Welcome aboard!
  3. we need Darth Vader not fart trader.
  4. I'm not the manager and I'm not in the clubhouse. But, just the same, I'm going to swear and kick something over in my house.
  5. See, no way you can deny Sano would have done better there had he cheated. I rest my case.
  6. I can't believe I'm saying this. But, why don't the twins try cheating?
  7. This is a "streaky" team obviously. I can't believe more people haven't noticed that. Get ready to enjoy a hot streak baaaabeeeee!!! When it comes, it's gunna be sweet!
  8. We are off to a way more encouraging start than last year :0)
  9. I predict that Dozier will come in to pitch in the 13th inning of a June game due to a depleted bullpen and he will bust out the ephus pitch and get the 3rd out of the inning on an infield popup. Later that inning, he will tomahawk a home run around the left field foul pole to win the game. He will thus be the winning pitcher of record and have the game winning RBI in the same game. Later that day on Sports Center he will be awarded the web gem of the day for his unassisted triple play in the top of the 12th. Go Twins!
  10. Pretty solid game. Glad the season is finally under way.
  11. Can you be my bust candidate if I see literally zero hope for you? If so, Nolasco, Fein, Abad and Terry Ryan ...............and did I mention Nolasco?
  12. Why is it that Duffey puts up poor numbers in spring training and he is said to be "having a rough spring" and others who's numbers are not good are said to be "working on some pitches?" I don't care if Nolasco throws no hitters for the remainder of spring training. I still put May in the rotation and ask questions later. If anything, Duffey could help us in the pen. That's his native habitat. May has been a starter.
  13. Yes but if you compare AFLOP and SUBPAR metrix to WHIP and BREF, it paints an entirely different picture. Nolasco will win the Cy Young award obviously. Can't believe I'm the only one who recognizes this.
  14. I agree on it making more sense to have Dozier hitting after Mauer.
  15. I stick him in the 2 hole with Escobar leading off, Dozier third and Sano forth then tell him to relax and focus on OBP and hitting nice line drives to all fields and working the pitch count. Those are his core strengths.
  16. I cut bait based on what you said.
  17. I had forgotten Duffey was a closer in college. For me, the rotation is Gibson, Santana, Hughes, May, Berrios. Milone to long relief and Duffey to the pen. I have enjoyed quite enough of Nolasco's circus music. He just is not very good any more. Why the team needs more evidence of that just frustrates me.
  18. I'm all for some platooning. But, Arcia does not excite me as an option. They can try to hoard him on the mlb roster but he won't play enough to evolve. My opinion, prime DFA candidate and I don't mind if we lose him.
  19. Though I tend to agree for the most part regarding the handling of Kepler and Polanco types, I also think there is value in grouping your top prospects together for building continuity and feeding off one another's successes and failures. Growing in to it together so to speak. Utilizing one another. Helping one another up the ladder. Even if it means not playing every day. Example, if you feel your outfield will ultimately be Buxton, Rosario and Kepler, you could argue that they become a solid/cohesive unit faster by working on it together. Not conventional thinking I know. but, think about it.
  20. I hope you are right about the opening day roster. I agree, the team should be exciting to watch. I just feel that their roster decisions are predictable.
  21. For me it's just about watching the Twins in general. I don't really hold out hope that there will be any surprises regarding the opening day roster. I envision fairly predictable roster decisions resulting in the "all asset management" team. Milone and Nolasco will be in the rotation. Outfielders will be Santana, Arcia, Sano, Rosario and the winner of Mastro and Benson. Just very yawn.
