    mr. núñez entered late at second base and struck out swinging to end the game in sf. turned a nice double play ... he was a bright spot on a lackluster team. versatile, swift, a little power, ran the bases with abandon. a worthy all-star in my book (it really is a half-season award). anyway, hope he does well, hope the new lefty works out.

    at least for this season, it really doesn't matter how many errors polanco and sano make regardless of position. sano should also be getting some time at first -- there and/or dh is where he'll eventually end up ...
