  1. Concur. @Bark's Lounge art was something else, not to knock your art direction. Being front seat to the creative process was worth following the game thread for.
  2. Is that Shelton making such a distinction? ("Which was which he could never make out, despite his best endeavor. of that there is no probable doubt, no probable possible shadow od doubt, no possible doubt whatever")
  3. Lee skips one off the top of the fence in left to halve the lead.
  4. Down 2-0 halfway through the second... Is this the point at which i'm supposed to raise my hand?
  5. Yes we can! (and in lieu of requesting music, here is what inspires me today)
  6. For some reason i was expecting symmetry... But then i might be confusing it with the bilateral leg weakness of a few decades ago.
  7. I don't remember that guy either (unless maybe you're referring to charlton heston on the rock keeping the red sea separated?) but i'll believe ya that its my fault... Sorry everyone. I'll try to stay awake today. But i might try to do important errands, too.
  8. At least you had a reason. I ended up falling asleep when it was 4-0 and missing the rest of the game...
  9. I will say i had my own short stint of trying to carry riverbrian's torch. This is part of how come i'm so lazy and stick to inane comments like "i hope we win" or "what i miss?" And i guess contributes to wanting to hear Dr. Demento style music these days to get me in a frame of mind to appreciate baseball. Or something.
  10. I understand this feeling too. Nothing to apologize for. Writing is always harder than reading. Here is an early Riverbrian intro, and you can tell he did something like this for a living, as polished as it is, so he was transferring some hard earned writing chops to a side interest (baseball)
  11. Not at all. It is just an acknowledgement that a decade ago was different than now. And he suffered his own form of burnout for putting so much effort into them, Just like some pitchers have. If you care to delve into an archived game threads, you will see.
  12. Me too, even while i recall the olden days when @Riverbrian's work was on display. Ah, those were the game thread intros... But times move, and as starters rarely finish games, so less is expected elsewhere in the world. Only a matter of time before game thread intros fail the Turing test... I am resigned.
  13. Ah yes! And i remember where i heard it (or at least one such place.)
  14. Isn't there some aphorism regarding hay making? Gotta cram a whole year's worth of hope in while ya can... But no pressure.
  15. I think i only know about half of them off hand.. For some reason i think someone post ed MacArthur Park recently, too.
  16. He's on first, i think. (A day late, and a dollar short, as usual)
