  1. The Kepler situation is "Totally and in all other ways inconceivable".
  2. Got it. Alas, then i was a mite premature on my chicken breakfast from bk.
  3. I am sad if i don't get to see Baddoo or Wells play at Target (for the home team) but seeing how many players we got on waiver claims in February, then snuck through themselves, i think we came out ahead. And that wouldn't have been possible with a full 40. Time will tell how the decissions turn out. I do hope our losses take their opportunites and run with them.
  4. Oh yeah... Winnah. (better late than never)
  5. Again, another evening game starting round 5pm. Hope it isn't past anyone's bedtime. Bedtimes are important. As are beds themselves. Did you know there is a size of bed named after our baseball team? I think it is even the most common single occupancy size of bed. Not many teams can say that. Anyway, i might get some beauty rest in before the game. Not for me of course. Tampa Bay: 0. Michael Wacha (R ) P 1. Manuel Margot (R ) CF 2. Randy Arozarena (R ) RF 3. Francisco Mejia ( S ) C 4. 6. They won. Hurrah for the midwestern state of New Jersey.
  7. I still have hard time thinking of Rutgers as big whatever it is called... If they win, will that be an iota of redemption?
  8. And fell in overtime. That's 2 big ten teams upset.
  9. What happens after you try to pick off the runner twice? Can they now take a 45 foot lead, as they just have to beat the pitcher back to 1st? And what if there are runners at 1st and 3rd? Does a throw to 3rd and then to 1st count as 1 or 2 pick offs? And does include the catcher?
  10. No one is accounting for inflation. One person back then was worth 10-20 in terms of today's folk. Paul Bunyan statue up by Brainard was merely lifesized.
  11. Thayer-time. "The score stood two to four with but an inning left to play"
  12. And for basketball folk, Purdue is down in their game, and Wisconsin up. I am generically rooting for big ten teams, despite the Gophers not making it.
  13. And down 4-2... Thielbar got hit a bit.
  14. I'm letting things get by me, too.
  15. Er.. Rortvedt? I am off my game...
  16. And no further. Game still tied an inning later.
  17. Adrianza walks and advances on a ball Garver kept in front of him.
  18. Congrats to Oral Roberts! How many 15 seeds is that to advance? I was always pulling for Robert Morris when they made the tourney...
  19. Adrianza throws out Garver ans Sano.
  20. Tied 2-2 on a wild pitch w/ bases loaded. 5th inning just ended... (Phew!)
  21. Evening game?! Since when are Spring Training games in the evening (5:05pm CDT)? Top questions: How important is spin rate really? Do tops get dizzy? How much faster does using a string make it? Is a yoyo just a top that can't let go of its string? How does one get on a gyroscopic career path? Anyway, enjoy the baseball game! Twins: 0. 22. So... my burning question. Will he make the all-star game as a starter, or a reliever? By the by, where is this year's all-star game going to be played?
