Almost want to suggest a change of capitalization to artistically indicate it is quieter, and it does its job indicating the scale of the topic, in contrast to the common SUNDAY Sunday sunday stereotypical monster truck announcement)

    Hope he's okay! And hearing Correa's situation, if in free agency folk work out less because they'd be out of luck if they injured themselves while working out, and this contributes to them being less prepared for a season or more injury prone, maybe this is a bug in the system which should probably be addressed somehow...

    Yeah, i was thinking of saying you can avoid the situation without jumping to conclusions about the person. Might still be unfair, but being fair is hard, and perhaps it is more accurate. Will that suit folk? We live in "interesting times" apparently.

    No. Did i do that right? And what were we talking about? Oh... offering contracts to free agents. Actually go ahead and offer our terms. If they sign for money we can offer, more power to us. Especially if its a minor league contract (with appropriate opt out dates) so we don't sacrifice a roster spot. So no, don't offer 'em the kitchen sink. Well, unless it is Greinke, and he comes with mentoring super powers. That might be worth a kitchen sink, and some marble counter tops, least if we have our marbles.

    And i'm confused what under means for a pitcher means when era, wins and k's are listed. He'll win fewer, strike out less, and have a lower era? Welcome to the world of 2023 Sonny Grey, eh?

    Part of me wants to ask if he always bet on the Reds in those 50 games. 'Cause if he did, at least it isn't a conflict of interest (or at least you have to look harder... did he sacrifice other games to win those 50...) I feel i could gain some wisdom from the opening scene of Miller's Crossing. Question of Character...

    Oh yeah... To respond to the subject... Last i checked, momentum was (in the more abstract sense) the tendency for things to continue until something changes them. So it doesn't seem like momentum if they have to regain it. At least it is hard to say it is the same and not new momentum.

    The two are not mutually exclusive (at least i hope not.) Go to the earliest archived game threads though, if'n ya want to get your Riverbrian fix. (pretty sure they will stand the test if time)
