  1. Anyone who orks cows has it comin'. Coffee's too good for 'em. (What''s orking, by the way?)
  2. Pinch hitting is a thing... But i'm not sure that is the best role for him on the team.
  3. Did Giolito just change his socks during the off season?
  4. I just checked the gameday for today's game, Lewis was up with 3 balls, and the next thing was, "in play, run(s)" and then words Grand Slam followed. Expectations has been set.
  5. Young was a '49ers quarterback in the Jerry Rice era, no? Pretty sure he is still Young.
  6. I prefer to call it recycled talk, as it is so rarely original. Be that as it may, is there an appropriate receptacle? And if multiple, then well labelled? I never know what goes where...
  7. The egg throw reminded me of a camp experience where i was a junior counselor and we were running a egg toss competition when hosting another camp. The senior counselor had us join in the last round and we out lasted the rest and kept backing up to teh edges of the space available, where i started loosing them in the overhead branches. (which resulted in sporting a yolk stain on my shorts the rest of the day) he gave me a second and third try and i got 1 of 3 at that distance. It wasn't until later the senior counselor told me he had someone feeding him new eggs, which he just wanted to use them all up, and he was surprised i was actually catching them and throwing them back.
  8. Which part of your suspension failed? The struts or the shocks?
  9. But who would want them after this? Probably stuck with them...
  10. Per MLBTradeRumors article: "The Twins placed right-hander Josh Winder on the 60-day injured list to open a roster spot for Margot, announcing that Winder has a scapular stress fracture. " So no shoe dropped, just a sad injury update, which probably everyone else already knew.
  11. And if i didn't already say it, i am already missing Miller. But i'm curious if he would still be in our system by the time Correa lost a step at shortstop. Could be considered taking advantage of a player being worth more to other organizations? I am also still waiting for the other shoe to drop, and seeing who we try to slip through waivers to make room for our new outfielder. And likewise the option for next year still has value, especially if he comes out strong this year. Here's to his knees fully recovering!
  12. Wait... We get to kick Twins management? I wasn't aware of that benefit to being a TD reader. Meh, I get enough kicking for my taste following the Vikings.
  13. So as he can sleep in. Why would ya do it any other way?
  14. Very comforting to know one can get the New England Sports Network in New England. (i don't, But i bet i could if only i'd pony up for cable)
  15. Hope he gets more plate appearances....
  16. Did we win yet? Oh wait. I see we did. My bad. And who is this guy... Shuffield with a 5.000 ops? And an outfield assist? Keep it up!
  17. I do approve of the "satiable curtiosity" in this thread, although it being the americas, i suppose the operative question perhaps pertains to alligators? (that's the way tricolored boa constrictors always talk...)
  18. (and i went and answered my own question. Yes, he cleared waivers! Awesome!)
  19. So if i just go see Jaws, that will work? We're going to need a bigger bat...
  20. Everybody loves a log. PS. Came here to bemoan losing Bubba Thompson, and got distracted by the gamethread like atmosphere. Sorry.
  21. Wait .. there two of 'em? I thought he was just a good switch hitter.... Did we clear enough roster spots for this signing? I can't tell if i'm in the middle of a live version of a Comedy of Errors? Maybe we can take a page from th Gondoliers, and have them play as one person until we sort this out...
  22. Well, certainly not version 1.1. Who knows what major upgrades are planned for a 2.0 version. Gallo didn't switch hit, did he? Anyway, yeah, i'm happy for the club house presence, as well as the example on the field, and will try to be paying attention as it plays out.
  23. Sedimentary, my dear Watson (2nd) Meh. I knew what was meant... And also looking forward to what all he does when he gets called up.
