  1. Wheeeeeeee ... Love that LF defense
  2. Verlander getting preferential treatment followed by Eddie looking like a first grader spinning around throwing a temper tantrum after his 1st pitch pop-up. Give me LaMarre in LF.
  3. Another addition to the long list of Rosario nonsense to start this season
  4. I know it's early, but not seeing much bargain with these FA signings so far.
  5. Lynn is harder to watch than Pelfrey ... Next in line, please.
  6. Eddie Rosario's erratic play should be added to the lowlights. While he did hit a HR to give Rodney a run to work with on Thursday and made a couple highlight catches in the OF, here is a list of the nonsense: 1) Watching the ball, having an emotional reaction and then not running to first on a pop-up 2) Watching the ball and then starting late running to first on a ball that luckily angled off Ryon Healy's glove and gave Eddie a cheap double. 3) Getting picked-off first, but luckily the umpires and video review officials were completely blind on the play 4) Throwing a ball into centerfield while trying to make an unnecessary circus throw 5) Missing a catch that at the time would have preserved a no-hitter for Berrios until Bunt-Gate occurred. (If this was the only one, I would probably lay off. It was a tough play.) 6) Although there is improvement in strikezone control, Eddie still has PAs were he just flails at stuff way out of there. That's one week. I'm an Eddie fan, but I wish he would tighten up his game just a bit. Edit: Oh, and just so I don't get called a racist, I wasn't happy with Max Kepler getting picked off first either.
  7. Where do you get your weed?
  8. Thanks for doing the update! Thumbs up to the Top 20 prospect lines section.
  9. 4 Cheeseburger HR! Get the griddle goin' !
  10. That's pretty disrespectful. You're using a player who had an anomaly year in 2011 (where he gained over 25% of his career WAR) and has otherwise been an other-than-dependable, injury-prone mess as a comp for reasoning not to sign someone who does almost the opposite and has been a productive rock for 5 years straight. Lame.
  11. Gordon .... Ooooohhh Lewis ... Aaaaahhhh Toys in unopened, never seen condition .... They have soooo much value. I can't wait to get rid of my keystone combo in 2019. They are only combining for 368/404/894 w/ 5 HR 12 Runs and 9 RBI through 5 games.
  12. You need to remember the Coors Field effect on numbers. Career twilight batting titles from former Twins with 270ish BA should make that easy to remember. Let's get rid of our best player and assume Low A prospects will replace the output. Sounds like a solid plan for winning. Don't quit your day job ... Closet GM isn't your calling.
  13. Solid team effort ... Bats and bullpen picked up Odorizzi on a night when he had a hard time finding his best stuff ... Rodney was entertaining ... That laser from Sano to end the game was sweet! ... Can't wait to go rock Target Field at the opener tomorrow!
  14. Looking forward to heading down to CR the first weekend of May. Leonardo's for pizza and to act funny like I'm a clown, then over to Perfect Game Field to watch these Kernels.
  15. If I was betting, I'd put my money on Vasquez or Lujan to make the big club first out of this group. Otherwise, I agree. Not a lot of names here, especially when this piece comes out after a couple CR pieces. If Wells isn't in the top 30 now, I bet he gets well into that group by next off-season, barring injury.
  16. He was one of my favorite interviews on Seth Speaks this off-season. Definitely a fan.
  17. If they gave out paper championships, Cedar Rapids looks to be first in line. SS Lewis 2B Miranda RF Kirilloff 1B Rodriguez CF Baddoo 3B Bechtold C Rortvedt LF Carrier DH Cabbage SP Wells (surprised he wasn't promoted) Seems like a good list of opening day starters .... I just made the lineup on the fly, so feel free to correct it.
  18. It looks more like December 3 than April 3 as I look outside this morning. 11 walks? Gross! Just like snow in April. The Twins will be playing [expletive] weather games for awhile, so I expect a roller-coaster. Hoping for a 3-2 road trip and a 6-4 home stand that include the champs, but 2-3/4-6 wouldn't be the end of the world. Tied with Cleveland, so brand new season!
  19. Yeah, no reason to even entertain extension talks with that guy .... So replaceable ..... NOT
  20. Had me fooled too. Shows how elite his speed and break abilitiy are. Anyone have the catch probability data on the Sisco double that turned Rosario around? I'm lost finding it on Baseball Savant.
  21. I had a good afternoon. Went to the Sports Page in Bloomington. Hrbek happened to be there. Kids played darts and pool. Everyone cheered when LaMarre crossed the plate and Rodney induced the GIDP to the five man infield. Everyone groaned and cursed when Jones hit the bomb. I was deflated, but then I smirked when I remembered Jones was on my fantasy team. Hrbek signed napkins for my youngest and our visitor from Japan. I found an '87 Topps Hrbek in the basement for our visitor to pair with his napkin auto. Awesome .... at least 161 to go.
  22. This is so last month. Why even keep writing additional pieces about it?
