  1. You should see the one with me in it! 🤣
  2. And by the way, it’s a good idea to be the only guy in a Twins shirt amongst a bunch from the TTSNBN during batting practice. Thanks to the generosity of some non-uniformed Twins staffer, I’ve got a ball to pass along to some nearby kid sporting a Twins cap or shirt.
  3. Greetings from the corner of 35th and Shields. Thanks to the general stinkitude of the Team That Should Not Be Named, good seats are still available. Tonight’s mission, should IT choose to accept it, is to see if one can move from Section 116, Row 10, Seat 2 to a spot behind the Twins dugout for a significant portion of the game.
  4. As opposed to about 48 grand if you’d hired it done. That’s generally my experience. A few years ago, my father-in-law was finishing a roofing project. I asked how long it would take. He said, “Another two hours.” Probably about right for him by himself, but with my help, we got it done in three.
  5. I'm curious. It's only been a few games, but how is the defensive comparison between Lee and Lewis at 3B?
  6. They've put enough wins in the bank that it's hard to see them not making the playoffs, but I still don't think they are sustainable. They are on pace for 103 wins, for goodness sakes. Only five of their nine starting position players have an OPS+ over 90. One of those is Steven Kwan with a 173 and that's definitely not sustainable. Only two of their five most-used starters have an ERA+ over 80 and those are just 109 and 127. They've had great health, with the exception of Gavin Williams, who just came back, so they haven't needed to dip very far into depth. The bullpen has been lights out though. However, a couple are on pace for 75+ innings, a couple more at 70+ and a couple more at 65+. It's hard to see not having some of those guys breaking down and having some serious overall regression.
  7. Correa seems like a guy who would want to be there, but it would be an easy swap to send Castro if Correa's hand is at all an issue in in the next several days.
  8. I'm planning a last-minute jaunt to Chicago for either Monday or Tuesday. I've got a hunch good seats are still available.
  9. Good as he's been, I wonder if there's any other team that he's blown a save or given up a walk off for each of the teams he's played for.
  10. Yes, I added that after they mentioned it in the radio postgame.
  11. I'm guessing we could set up a GoFundMe account to buy him one every day.
  12. Not a walk off last year, but a blown save in the 10th that the Twins won in the 11th. In 2022, Miranda hit a 3-run shot off him in a ninth-inning tie.
  13. "Martin's hurt. Crap! Crap! Crap! Crap.
  14. I thought Dick Stuart. EDIT: (As noted by Ace.)
  15. Why couldn't Altuve be playing 1B on that one?
  16. If this pitcher ever throws multiple shutouts, would they be ArrighettiOs?
  17. Or alternatively, keep Castro at 2B, Lee at SS and Miranda 3B. Which may lend credence to @Squirrel's earlier response regarding Miranda not being in the lineup.
  18. Also on Yogi's head, according to an attributed quote.
  19. But speaking of things Chief (might have) said, I had a police officer stop at my house last evening and ask where I was between 5 and 6. I said, "Kindergarten."
  20. PA But nice AB for Vazquez! EDIT: Like Chief said.
