  1. Have we reached the "Bundy is horrible, we never should have signed him" part of the game?
  2. Welcome to TD, Brock Test Account! ?
  3. I think it's Scott Braun with Carlos Pena.
  4. Sanchez needed to go to the base, rather than going after the runner. The runner has to come to the plate. It should have been an easy play.
  5. Folks have discussed whether the baseballtradevalues.com simulator is of any value. For what it's worth, you're not far off on suggesting Gil. One of the closest matches on a one-for-one trade with the Yankees is Kiner-Falefa. And to put it in a Twin-specific context, the closest match via trade is Duran, followed by Thielbar, followed by Paddack. That's Duran OR Thielbar OR Paddack, not AND.
  6. I think the likelihood of having that discussion is 100 percent. It would be ludicrous not to. But if I was in the FO's shoes (and that's really all any of us can definitively say), I would be very reluctant to seriously consider trading him, for many of the reasons stated here.
  7. Weather.com shows dropping off to a 35 percent chance of rain by 1 p.m. and then to 15 percent by 3 and later. Accuweather keeps it at 75 percent for most of the afternoon. I guess we'll have a data point on the question of which is more accurate.
  8. Thanks. Had some of these on the list, so good to know we were on the right track. Will look into the others.
  9. Vanimal, I’m heading to Texas next week to re-check Texas off the stadium list. Food recommendations in the Dallas-Austin-San Antonio corridor? We’re calling it the Take a Tums Tour, so I’m looking for BBQ and chili.
  10. Royals broadcast just showed this:
  11. Nice, Carlos. Let’s get a couple more and go to Gordon for the bottom of the ninth.
  12. That would more likely be in San Jose or Winnipeg.
  13. This isn’t what you’re looking for, but when I googled I found this. This would be kinda fun to look through: https://www.amazon.com/Word-Rhythm-Dictionary-Resource-Lyricists/dp/081088416X (It’s not shoes — I promise!)
  14. If Muhammad Ali and George Foreman played that wood block game while doing aforementioned dance, would that the Rumba in the Jenga?
  15. I have really liked Smith. He seems like the ideal guy to use in extra innings.
  16. With 44 CG in 45 starts. Six straight seasons at 330+ innings, from age 21 to 26. Guess what, he pitched another 206 innings and was done by 28.
  17. I’m going to be on the road tomorrow, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to join the Game Thread, but if Kepler plays, he’ll tie Mike Blowers for third among games played by those born in Germany. He also recently passed Blowers for third in RBIs (or RsBI, if that’s your grammatical preference. He trails Glenn Hubbard and pre-1900s Bill Kuehne in both. In WAR, he trails only Hubbard and a pre-1900s pitcher, good old Pretzels Getzein. (By the way, Chief, did you get a chance to see either Kuehne or Getzein in action?)
  18. Schwarber wouldn’t have liked that one either.
  19. Does TD send you an auto-alert any time someone types “space-o-r-space”?
  20. Angel? Is that you back there, Angel? Schwarber wouldn’t have liked that call.
  21. Just because there’s no math doesn’t mean you can trot out science. Is that an avian or a non-avian dinosaur?
  22. Adley Rutschman sighting in Baltimore tonight, by the way. Check out him getting the news… https://www.mlb.com/orioles/news/adley-rutschman-called-up-announcement
  23. Indeed. It was excellent before renovations, but the updates have made it excellenter. I can’t think of another good stadium where the changes enhanced the experience as much as in Kansas City. A few years ago, I took some nice photos from the outfield concourse, shooting through the fountains. Only downside to the park that I can see is that it appears there’s no longer a Gates & Sons on the food list.
  24. Wonder if Celestino will get fined for missing the hit sign.
