  1. Bring back Perez and Odorizzi, move on from Gibby and Pineda.
  2. Syndergaard’s nice, but kinda overrated. Why not just go after Wheeler instead? Wouldn’t cost us all that much, and if he performs well, the FO can always bring him back on an Eovaldi-like deal in the offseason.
  3. There’s absolutely no way he’s not our starting 2B next year.
  4. While I think it’s obvious that Cron isn’t getting non-tendered again next offseason, I definitely could see him being dealt to make way for Kirilloff/Rooker.
  5. Hopefully Allen returns soon and provides a well needed boost to our bullpen, but I definitely wouldn’t try and rush him back to the big leagues, because the most important thing at the moment for Allen (and his career) is to get himself right, even if that means spending the rest of the regular season in the minor leagues (or Fort Myers) and returning on a 1 year deal for the 2020 season. Fixing Allen will be no small task for the organization, and doing so will take some time and effort, so we’ll have to be patient. In the meantime, the FO must continue pursuing bullpen help, although from now on, we should only be targeting proven arms like Smith, Doolittle, Vasquez, and Iglesias, instead of guys like Krol, Hutchinson, and Allen.
  6. I know he’s been on fire lately, but I have an honest question, is Rooker a trade chip for better pitching or a building block for the future??
  7. Despite the value in his name, I really don’t think Doolittle would be all that expensive. I imagine he’d probably cost us both Celestino and Thorpe, at the most (more than fair, imo). And if we do happen to acquire him, I would really prefer it if he wasn’t the ‘big move’ this deadline. While I’d love to have a reliable workhorse like Doolittle, who’d compliment Rogers nicely as the 2nd lefty in our bullpen, what we really need is that shutdown guy at the backend of our bullpen, our very own Craig Kimbrel, anything more (like Stroman and or Doolittle) would be a welcomed bonus to my honest expectations of the FO. Unfortunately, most of these dominant relief arms are either on contenders, or fringe teams like the Reds, Pirates, Mets, Padres, Cardinals, Angels, and Indians who may, or may not, even sell this summer. And if by chance that none of those teams sell, that would ultimately leave Will Smith, Tayron Guerrero, Mychal Givens, Shane Greene, Alex Colome, Jake Diekman, and Ken Giles as the best options available at this season’s trade deadline. Other than Smith, I wouldn’t bet on any of those guys being ‘sure things’ for the rest of the regular season, let alone the postseason.
  8. Really wish he would’ve stayed because I definitely could’ve seen Buze benefiting from working with Wes. Who knows, perhaps he’ll return next season.
  9. Nice to see us pick another pitcher, but I’d still like to see us pick atleast one protectable HS arm like Gavin Collyer, Alex McFarlane, or Sebastian Keane.
  10. Perhaps they’re loading up on infielders because they plan on dealing 2-3 of the upper level guys at the deadline.
  11. If drafting Cavaco in the 1st round (instead of Stott) means we’re getting Malone in the 2nd, I’m all in.
  12. Really hoping atleast one of Espino, Malone, and Busch are still available by 39.
  13. Miranda and Cavaco; pretty good backup options to Sano.
  14. Atleast Cavaco, Carroll, and Stott are still available.
  15. Yeah, I’m not so concerned about losing Keuchel either. However, after watching highlights of Kimbrel’s 2018 season, I’m fully convinced he’s the perfect fit, but if we happen to lose him to the Braves/Phillies, I’d immediately start making calls on both Doolittle and Iglesias.
  16. Hopefully I’m wrong, but I really doubt Kimbrel ends up a Twin. Regardless of our league best record, I honestly feel like he has us 4th on his list of preferred teams, only behind the Phillies, Cubs, and Braves. However, I do feel like we have a legitimate shot at landing Keuchel, but do we really even need him?
  17. Since Pineda was only supposed to miss one start, what happens to Smeltzer?? Are we really gonna demote him after such an impressive performance?? I mean, he would be a nice addition to the bullpen, but that would be kind of waste wouldn’t it, especially after what he showed what he’s capable of yesterday.
  18. While I’m not exactly worried about Roger’s performance, I am concerned that he may be the only guy in our bullpen that I’d even trust in these type of games. Parker, Harper, and May are alright, but I definitely wouldn’t put all my faith in them keeping it close against other contenders, especially in the postseason. I mean, it’s not like the Indians solely relied on Andrew Miller in 2016, they also had Allen, Shaw, and Otero as well. I think it’s safe to say that Rogers’s needs a better supporting cast.
  19. Where’s Smeltzer, Stashak, and Alcala (our future closer)??
  20. It’s great to finally see Diaz and Blankenhorn perform at the level we all expected them to, not only because they could possibly help us in the long run, but if they can keep this up for another month, we could possibly have two more fairly good looking trade chips to deal from.
  21. Before we get too excited, remember that Pineda’s pitching tomorrow...
