    Not sure if the Dodgers would be looking for another lefty starter. I must have missed that post as well. MN i just trying to play hardball and hopefully they don't tick off LAD enough and they look elsewhere like Tampa for a 2nd basemen.

    Most likely either Justin Turner or Kenley Jansen resigning with the Dodgers. But why dump a player who was #1 on the depth chart for 2nd base if they are not looking to improve at that position.

    Dodgers just removed Charlie Culberson from their 40 man roster. Most likely meaning a free agent signings is about to happen soon. Hope it's Justin Turner and they feel like beefing up the offense by adding a power hitting 2nd basemen. By the way, Charlie Culberson was at the top of the Dodgers depth chart at 2nd base... I guess I am not a speedy typer.

    LOL, if a deal goes down with LA someone will be all over it. Someone will gladly take credit for what you have done.

    I am sure it is going to hard for Plouffe to get more than $5-7M on a 1 year deal with the lack of teams needing a 3rd baseman. So why not take a 1 year deal with a contending team and hope to rebuild his value.

    The Dodgers must be trying to see if they can bring back Justin Turner to see if they need to add another bat to the lineup first. Not saying they can't sign Turner and trade for Dozier.

    Why doesn't everyone just take a deep breath and back off DaveW. You should be a little grateful that he continues to reply to all the critics. If I was DaveW I would stop posting until it is going to happen and hopefully everyone can take a minute and realize how they are acting. If a deal happens everyone will look like a fool for their petty little shots at someone who is trying to help.

    Yankees just signed Chapman to a 5 year deal for $86 million.

    That would be great and sad at the same time. Just shows how poorly the Twins have drafted with such high draft picks for so many years lately. I am not calling all 1st round picks the Twins drafted busts.

    Perfect Dozier trade would have the Twins sending a player to be named later in the deal by the name of Joe Mauer.

    Kinsler is not going to LA. He has a no trade clause and has asked for an extension to waive it. I could see LA backing away and getting Brandon Phillips on the cheap from Cincinnati with the Reds sending money in a deal.

    Didn't the Twins trade rule 5 picks with the Marlin's and that's how the Twins got Johan Santana?

    Besides him be a high school player the Twins "were" well known for slowly promoting players. Hopefully the new brain trust is a touch more aggressive. But it would not take much.

    I am guessing that he might be available in the minor league part of the draft. If that is correct he would not take a 40 man roster spot.

    So let the next couple of heads roll from the 40 man roster. They will get most of them back. Let this rebuilding begin and cut a few more even if we don't need the space for any incoming players.

    So trade for a lefty in Pomeranz who for the first time in his career pitched more than 100 innings(170 2/3) and then trade Ervin Santana for prospects? What do you gain besides saving a little money and hoping that it works out in the end? Sorry, I am not drinking that kool-aid.
