  1. If he's the prospect people think, he should be in AA at some point this year......I prefer Culpepper, since he has shown he can hit and field, but it is way too early to know here....
  2. A 27 first is my hope! And I think it is realistic (esp if the Vikes throw in a 4th or 5th in 27). Either JJ works out at QB, or they take one in 27.....
  3. I'd rather they get picks in 27..... But overall this works.
  4. If they are really moving on from McCarthy, as some reports indicate, they need to trade down and get more assets for next year's draft.
  5. This. He'll never play there in the majors. Hey him to his eventual position so he can learn.
  6. Styles was the guy I most wanted. That's not happening. I think you have to wait to round two for DT given the depth?
  7. Who thought Festa was anything but a bullpen piece later this year?
  8. I'm guessing they believed in McCarthy, and after seeing him, don't. It happens all the time, just this is a QB and the GM sucked at drafting, so it's BIG. Good luck to KOC keeping his job with these options.
  9. I'm betting Hunter goes in the first round, easily.
  10. They have 3 starters, and he's terrible at defense. They also have Roden, who couldn't prove more in AAA. How does someone prove they are ready, while in AAA?
  11. Agreed. He's nowhere near the top 4 or 5 SP prospects right now, or in the future. This year is toast. Start him on his long term path (you know, like they should have earlier with almost every starter they have moved to RP other than Duran).
  12. Agreed. He's the only one I move on for.
  13. I agree, but the same was said about TJack and Bridgewater..... Some guys just aren't good or mature. I'm fairly sure McCarthy will fail in Minnesota, but I don't like any of the alternatives. So let's see..... But I'm guessing 7-9 wins again, most of them like last year, after other teams have given up.
  14. If you only grade things after they happen, what's the point? And, sometimes things turn out badly, even if you make a good choice (of vice versa). If your pilot decides to use the flaps wrong, do you wait to see if you crash before you know it was a bad decision?
  15. So you're saying there's a chance.
  16. I agree it will be years down the line....if it happens.
  17. Heh. He's got the most upside of any of their options, which says a lot about how few QBs even are alive on the planet. I'm saddened by this. Who could have predicted taking a QB whose college offense was built around running and not using the QB would fail?
  18. Other than Burrow, none of the other guys are all that good. No thanks.
  19. We'll know a lot more about the players' thoughts about a cap when the replacement is named....
