  1. Dozier was safe on that play. Safer than Terry Ryan's job. And lo and behold, they rightly reversed it. We're in business!
  2. meh, I think so. I don't mind a walk or three. He's making good pitches when he needs to.
  3. Home plate umpire: I ain't giving you no AAA strike zone, Rook. But Berrios seems to be dealing with it well.
  4. Somewhere in the dusty 1970s operating manual that the Twins use to make baseball decisions, are some rules of thumb, such as: the 9th guy in the order should be your second leadoff hitter, and, slow catchers do not bat 9th. So, there's really a synergy to Molitor's lineups that you are refusing to recognize.
  5. Anyone? I think Pinto and Herrmann were the logical choices at the time.
  6. My feelings are pretty close to yours--thanks. I think an automated strike zone could be implemented by MLB fairly discreetly. Not confident it would be, but I think it could be. No one would notice anything different. You would still need an umpire behind home plate regardless and he could still indicate ball or strike with a hand signal.
  7. He might also get another one year extension.
  8. Mostly I was responding to a poster who hopes Ryan makes a move to improve the team this year. I agree small sample. One nice 3 hit game for Murphy and his slash line will be back to normal.
  9. That probably means trading Buxton, Sano, Berrios, May, or someone like that.
  10. A lot of people have that hope. But do you believe he actually will? That's what would put you in the minority
  11. When Suzuki made the 2014 All Star game, who would have thought he would be our primary catcher through the end of 2017? It's looking more and more likely. I think most posters on here were actually pleading for Ryan to trade him at that time.
  12. I think Jimmer is right. I'd say it's been about 20 years also. Which would put it at the dawn of the steroid era and inflated hitting stats, which makes sense in a way.
  13. We can disagree. He is trying to be aggressive and makes a mistake. I can live with that in this case.
  14. You are going to need a new camel!!! (does that qualify as a bad joke?)
  15. I cannot scapegoat Sano for that baserunning move. He is trying to make something happen. You can count on one hand the number of people in this dugout trying to make something happen.
  16. Even in the worst of situations, you can always find something positive to say in there
  17. It might be time to give Polanco a couple starts out at short.
  18. I hate to be debbie downer and crush the optimism on this thread, but starting Tuesday, Sano goes back into right field indefinitely.
  19. Mrs. Lincoln informs me that Nolsaco otherwise had a pretty good outing.
  20. Chief just used up his best joke ever in this thread. How can you expect him to turn around so quickly with another one?
