  1. Please save the math for the game threads, where we know Chief is there to help us with those types of things. (And if you have not been on a game thread, we will remind you about it
  2. I am thinking Mauer at first base about 2/3's of the time plus some DH, and Sano about the same at third with a little more DH, will get the most out of those guys.
  3. Right. When arbitration and free agency starts to roll around, things will start making sense to him. That's what we all hope, anyway.
  4. I think a lot of that was maturity, and there's no way to know until you run him out there in games. Maybe he continues to make difficult plays, but botch some easy plays, and the Twins finish well under .500, which is what most people expect, and if it happens that way again I think we probably have this same conversation about Sano again a year from now.
  5. Sano moves well. The video clips are out there and frequently posted on these threads, whether posters care to acknowledge it or not.
  6. oh and I think you meant Sano, not Plouffe. Ha. Sano's size will most likely catch up to him. For now he moves real well. At third base his step and lunge is more than adequate.
  7. Whatever you mean by foot range, Plouffe is now with the A's so its irrelevant.
  8. Glynn also noted how well Sano lays out for a ball. There is value in that. Due to all his core injuries Plouffe has been unable to dive for a ball in years.
  9. Buxton and Kepler seem to have great chemistry. I'm pretty fired up to watch these guys.
  10. Good to know. I was leaning toward authentic....
  11. Good catch, as most people will only read his comments. But his core supporters are watching him closely. It's all part of the playbook. Trump reads the anti-Semitism statement in his liberal, unserious voice, all the better during a visit to an African American history museum. Two birds with one stone. Trump's Nazi supporters understand this is all part of the process and aren't shaken by this "statement" one bit. Trump's encouragement of violence against the weak and powerless continues apace.
  12. By the looks of that photo, it looks like it's still all in his mouth http://www.twincities.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/ryan-orourke.jpg
  13. Boudreauvich
  14. Top 3 story lines of the next offseason: - Vikings 2017 Defense: Greatest Of All Time? - Bradford, Bridgewater, or Brady-- a QB controversy like none other - what to do at left tackle
  15. Is that one of the free SABR books? Thanks to this thread I just opened a 1908 Cubs/Chicago book someone gave me a few years ago. I might do this 1919 book next.
  16. I think the 17-18 offseason should be devoted to the Vikings defending their Super Bowl title
  17. Agree. For whatever reasons, those guys from the D.R. seem to take on weight, regardless of who they are. And Sano already started as a freak.
  18. For some of us, it's too soon to joke about these things #YouTakeThatBack #StillGrieving #miloyiannopoulos
  19. You joke, but what would you do at left tackle?
  20. Yes - thanks. It's important I keep in mind the Twins have been turning over coaches faster the past few years. Better them than their young players.
  21. Also, what's with Berardino cranking out multiple good stories a day? Kudos my man. LaVelle must be feeling the heat to get that restaurant review in to the Strib no later than COB Thursday.
  22. That philosophy had its day, but yes, it's long past time the Twins get with the times.
  23. See you all on the 22nd. (PSA: the Twins host the Tigers at 1 PM that Saturday afternoon; the march is not scheduled to go much past 2 PM)
  24. I would prefer Franken or Klobuchar to Schumer. Democrats probably chose Schumer because it was "his turn" and that's how they do things, oblivious to the actual needs at hand.
  25. Thanks. It's no big deal but when the season starts I'm guessing people will be here mostly for baseball.
