  1. Today might very well be the last time Royce has an ops in the .700s
  2. In 5 starts against the Twins, Fedde has held the Twins to a .392 ops
  3. Not 100% convinced those were seeds, looked like chew 🤣
  4. IL is retroactive up to 3 days, so they could IL buck tomorrow, bring Roden back up and it would be the same. today is day 3
  5. Regarding Caratini, will the Twins ever learn that they can pay a backup catcher like 2 million to provide a .550-.600 ops?
  6. Twins 2 man bench most days will be Caratini- .421 ops since all star break Kreidler- .494 ops since all star break Inept
  7. Nope they announced. Roden down, 2 man bench until they decide to put Buxton on the IL in 3-5 days
  8. I’m so out on Zoll, Shelton, Pohlad. 2 man bench moving forward, lol. Just insanity
  9. If they don’t punish Castillo today lol His only plus pitch results-wise is the changeup so if lefties hold off that, they should be able to punish everything else. He’s legitimately one of baseballs worst starters this year and that’s with playing half his games in Seattle’s pitcher friendly park.
  10. The team has the worst defense metrics in baseball and Bell playing DH every day is a big part of that. They can’t hide guys at DH when he has to play there every day, while putting up an OPS+ of 107. It’s not worth it. Twins have to move on from some of these major league level outfielders as well. I think we have 9 now between AAA and MLB. 10 if you count Clemens. Take on some MLB contracts by moving some of these guys who don’t have room here next year, know that they’re going to have a lot of young guys in the lineup next year and use the open DH to improve team defense while still being a hopefully top 5 offense in the AL
  11. Saw someone on X claiming the Twins will likely DFA Erod next year Can’t fix stupid
  12. Rodriguez is playing CF every day right now in St. Paul. Jenkins isn’t playing CF much at all. I don’t see Jenkins coming up
  13. But it’s not the the opposite. It’s Shelton not looking at analytics and starting a right hand bat because they’re traditionally better against lefties.
  14. Kreidler .501 OPS in his last 30 games .580 ops against lefties starts both games vs lefties Roden 5/11 against lefties .850 ops AAA against lefties Bench Starting Kreidler both games because he has family there shoes this is an unserious team
  15. It’s not about what a player has done If a player has been struggling for weeks, you find a way to work other players into the starting lineup more often in hopes that they can get right It shouldn’t be this difficult The problem is that half their bench is catchers instead of Jenkins, Wallner, Sabato, Mendez…pick one
  16. Can’t wait for Roden to ride the bench again so that Larnach can get his 7th year to prove he’s worth more than 1 WAR a season and so that I can watch Byron Buxton move like my grandfather
  17. GODDDDDD I love Caratini. I miss when he played every single day, just last week
  18. Alan Roden, the only reason I still watch the Twins, to spite the fans and leadership who doubt him 😂
  19. The Twins obsession with Travis Adams should be studied in the historical texts for generations to come
  20. Jays fans told us Hoffman sucked, and we pretended he was elite this is what the twins deserve
  21. Zebby- why does it have to be one or the other? He can move to the pen next year and potentially move back to the rotation in the future. I think pen makes a lot of sense for next years plans with the potential of moving back to the rotation. It’s being done more often in the league nowadays and he has the stuff to make it happen. Royce- yeah I think in a way he’s back, but his whiff struggles and his in zone whiff struggles will mean that he’ll likely never be an elite hitter, so he’s really going to have to find somewhere defensively where he can be at least a league average presence defensively. Luke- I think it’s mostly legit with the bat. He’s really incredible about swinging at his pitch and laying off stuff outside the zone and pitchers pitches. MLB defenses will learn to play him tighter but remember he’s still coming off TJ and multiple hand injuries. I think he can find a little more bat speed which should help him adjust to the adjustments that’ll come next year. His impact is highly dependent on his ability not to play terrible defense though. it’s shocking to me how many bad plays he makes. Not because he’s lacking athleticism but just baseball smarts, but he did go to ASU…
  22. Frankly I don’t understand why Rojas is still in AAA Prielipp and Ober are not giving the team a chance to win. Rojas has the potential to give the Twins what Yesavage gave the Jays last year. This team’s roster management since the deadline has been extremely poor
  23. Baseball players go through hot and cold streaks more than they’ve ever gone through in the history of baseball. It’s up to the coaching to identify them and use that kind of stuff to their advantage to rest players up a little bit and coach them up a little bit
  24. What are we doing? Why aren’t we just letting Keaschall swing the bat? He’s reaching base better than anyone on the club. sure it worked, but that was really really ugly
