    True. It’s not just that they go out and develop and/or sign premium hitters. They expect excellent fielding.

    I get why there’s logic in hoping Kody holds/increases his value for the deadline but they need to get a lot for him to make it worth it. He’s at least a capable, if not a plus, fielder at multiple positions, has a clue up there at the plate, seems like a more likable guy than his father at least. I like the guy.

    It may have been brought up in the game thread but he needs a lot of reps of practice if he’s staying at 2nd. When I watch him what I see are really bad 1st steps, off-timing and herky-jerky movements and throws. Not fluid. Like he’s still learning a difficult position.
