  1. It’s sad that we’re talking about Kreidler at all. Nothing on him as a person, and he’s enjoyed more the baseball “dream” than any of us, but honestly no matter how many positions he could play, I won’t ever be paying my hard earned dollars to see him bat. We’re not a Ryan Kreidler away from being a playoff team this year. I’d rather the roster reflected an investment in the future as opposed to guys we know aren’t going to be here any longer than they have to be.
  2. Any chance Ober get extended Spring Training, or is that only for documented injuries or late signings? But then he’s been on schedule for throwing this off season and spring training so far, so maybe this is what he is?
  3. Orze pitching his way off the opening day roster, or has that already been decided?
  4. I’m in agreement. We deserve something nice once in a while.
  5. The Ober velocity thing feels ominous. I can’t even imagine what this rotation will look like come August.
  6. Margot. Still don’t get that one. Obvious from Day 1 that he wasn’t going to be “Buxton Insurance “ or trustworthy in any OF spot. Substandard hitter, and I can’t tell if Rocco just kept throwing him out there as a PH to set the record or if his spreadsheet wouldn’t update.
  7. Piling on with the leave him at 2nd comments. If the best reason to advocate for a switch to LF is to accommodate moving Brooks Lee to 2nd, then I think that’s flawed. If Lee hits his way into that conversation, well yeah then it’s a valid topic IMO. But until then , let’s actually develop a young talent in a stable position?
  8. Man I just hope we’re not talking next spring about the 350 PA’s Outman got ala 2024 Margot…
  9. Yeah I struggle to understand why this organization has treated the position as an apparent afterthought in recent years. Occasionally find some FA that holds it down, but we have this logjam of slow, lanky, left handers playing average to subpar outfield, and no one thinks to work them out at 1st?
  10. It seems forced to correlate Larnachs underwhelming roster redundancy with trying to fill a rotation spot. It’s not like the Lopez injury suddenly made us realize that Larnach (who I don’t hate) was not really adding anything, and likely causing a logjam on the roster. It’s just the same old bad/questionable roster construction that we’ve gotten used to.
  11. Oddly Gray generates the most excitement (?) for me when considering the 3 possibilities if you can squint and see a Kody Clemens type of outcome with passable play at SS
  12. I would rather see the Twins trade him than force him into a BP role that he doesn’t seem suited for. As he is, I think he’s the quintessential #4 or #5 guy, smoke and mirrors or whatever.
  13. Wow I’m pretty jealous that sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing. And thank you for your service to our country.
  14. Are you kidding? He was special right away, then out dueled Roger Clemens in 2006 in a nationally televised game. Highlight of the season for me
  15. Everything in this article could come to fruition and it’s still a 78 win team. Doesn’t mean I’m not pulling for these guys. See you at the park.
  16. Appropos of nothing, props to whoever coined “Tough Talking Tom”. It’s perfect.
  17. Weirdly overshadowed by a move by another Minnesota sports franchise today…..
  18. Julien playing 3rd? Am I understanding that correctly? First time that I have ever read that. I’m too lazy to confirm but I don’t believe he ever logged an MLB inning there. If it was sarcasm, well you got me there.
  19. Naw I didn’t think he was outstanding, per se, but as a local fan from the Twin Cities he created slightly more interest in a franchise that has been shedding fans/supporters in recent years.
  20. I’m not offended or upset by the use of the term “pipeline “ but would observe that in the Twins context it seems more like a dented, partially collapsed culvert sometimes.
  21. Fun list, thanks. I’m ok with Radke. Agree he was never “the best” but I always looked forward to his starts.
