  1. I'd stick with the "Whine Line" and "Hawt Taeks." I think the "Whine Line" does a better job of disseminating information than that article from SI.* *Hopefully, the host of "The Whine Line" is not insulted by the comparison.
  2. The Twins won a 1-0 game? Spring Training or not, that surprises me.
  3. Yeah, I have to agree with you. It has seemed to me that Mr. Mauer has not adjusted his approach as pitchers adjust to him. It looks to me like opposing pitchers are taking advantage of the free strike they are given.
  4. I'm to the point I'll be happy if everyone makes the plays their supposed to and once in a while turning in a defensive gem. I guess I'm saying steady over flashy.
  5. Actually, I've been saying 71 wins since threads started going up regarding win predictions and I'm too stubborn to change. Some would call curmudgeonly even.
  6. I'm against math. The Twins win 71 games this year. Yes, I pulled that number out of, okay, we'll call it "thin air."
  7. Pablo has dropped a few pounds.
  8. Cool Gibson came back from 3-0 and struck out the batter.
  9. Sale is on the mound I see. Should be interesting.
  10. SRO for a spring training game? Kind of cool in weird sort of way.
  11. I was talking from the perspective of my right. I got one? Interesting.
  12. Precautionary x-rays, day to day. Nothing broken. I think Park comes north with the club due to Vargas not getting the AB's needed.
  13. I thought Chi Town was kind of a given....
  14. Unfortunately, my scorecard reading skills are on par with my ability to play a fine instrument, nil.
  15. No, I'm 1 for 3, because I didn't guess who the one in the center is.
  16. I'm going with far left, Chief, right, DHTF..center, no idea.
  17. Get home, turn on MLB.tv, Twins are up, pull up the box score, first inning, look to see how Baltimore scored and who's pitching, then we'll go to the 5 run inning and see how that happened.
  18. Interestingly enough, from what I understand, Hetfield and Lars Ulrich are very much into music theory. Their vehicle just turned out to be metal. Anyway, I thought it was great that Ulrich and Hetfield were more than willing to appear with Apocalyptica and thought it was cool.
  19. When DieHard said "High Fived" he meant "knocked unconscious and stashed TC in the dugout and took his place."
  20. Hey, if you get a chance, look up Apocalyptica. Metallica cover band using 4 cellos. This is them with Hetfield.
  21. I like your specificity. Well, phooey, I now see the guy standing there on the field. So much for irony.
  22. What's funny, is that I was pointed back to this kind of Rock and Roll when the last show of "Breaking Bad" played Badfinger's "Baby Blue." I'd forgotten just how good that stuff was along with how much talent there was back then. I enjoyed some of the hair bands and the heavy metal of the nineties but after that? I though music took a huge step backward when Rap became ascendant. Yes, I know the younger crowd likes rap but, I just don't get it. Well, unless it's this:
  23. Then there is this song, which Joni wrote and was turned into a huge hit by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young:
  24. Coffee. With a shot of Baileys. After that, more coffee, sans Baileys. Back in the day, I was Guinness with a side of Jameson kind of guy. That day is long past, though.
