    My Dad ran one of these contests way back when. Then he and his co-worker showed everyone how it was done. They were darn near playing football with the egg they were tossing about. Everyone finally realized they'd been had when Dad cracked the egg and ate it. Turned out, Dad had hard boiled the egg.

    According to Torii, Rondon is a good guy. I find it hard to believe what's going on in Venezuela isn't messing with Rondon's head. Hopefully, Rondon turns things around but not until he leaves the Central.

    I have sympathy for Rondon. He's from Venezuela, probably has family there, and Venezuela has turned into a very unpleasant place to live. Just a guess, on my part.

    The bats, which had been missing, have been doing their job. Tonight, the pitching failed. Hopefully, it isn't a sign of things to come.

    Can't keep using the bullpen the way it's been used. Too many short starts the last few days. The Twins needed a starter to give the bullpen a break but that didn't happen tonight. Darn it.

    You know, Falvey was quoted as saying something along the lines of doing things to inspire a team to do better. Falvey traded some peripheral pieces and the Twins are looking at a 7 game winning streak. Thins that make you say "Hmmm" for $100, Alex.
