  1. What is this two out rbi thing? Not seen that in a while...
  2. When I watch ball fall in like that, I think that has to start happening for the Twins also. Providing, of course, they stop popping out.
  3. By the way, anyone else catch the Memorial Day opener? Quite humbling.

  6. It depends on the hitting at the trade deadline. If the bats are still somnolent rather than cromulent, then yes.
  7. So, MLB compensated by finding taller pitchers...
  8. If Seattle has been living off the seeing-eye base hits, they're in for a world of hurt once that stops.
  9. Wilson: "Yo, Jose?" Berrios: "Yes?" Wilson: "Happy Birthday!" Berrios: "You didn't buy me a present again, did you.."
  10. More than a few shows on TV I'd pay money to not ever see again...
  11. That was cool to see Jose work out of that jam.
  12. Yeah, in my case, let's move to the "speed things up" camera.
  13. Challenge accepted. I dare you to point to anyone else who's written a poem as an opener.
  14. Hah. Reminds me of when I lived in Stillwater, OK in the seventies. The local weatherman and anchorman appeared to be having a contest to see who could wear the loudest suit. This was during the seventies, mind you, when platforms and plaids were in.
  15. I always thought the mansions on Summit Ave were cool.
  16. Well, that was certainly a downer of an observation.
  17. Yeah, losing 2-1 is a tough way to lose, but, much better than losing 10-1. At least the Twins were in it all the way to the end. Unlike some games in the past couple of years. No matter how you slice and dice it, the Twins are getting the pitching they've desperately needed for the last several years.
  18. I want to see a double header in which Romero and Berrios pitch back to back.
  19. There was an article in which Jason Castro broke down how he went about pitch framing. He said he tried to position his body and glove to give the umpire the best view of the ball he could, along with very careful placement of the glove. Bottom line: Moving the glove is for amateurs and true "pitch framing" is incredibly subtle. The way Mr. Castro broke it down made a lot of sense.
