Probably the best start of Bailey Ober's career thus far. You have to give him props for pitching this well despite the velocity loss. I appreciate Shelton leaving him out there to complete the game. Offensively there wasn't a ton, but I loved the double steal. Credits to Larnach for drawing the throw and then getting into a pickle, and heading back to second afterwards. Good win all around.- 45 replies

Congratulations, Bailey Ober on his second career complete game. Well Pitched.

Perez throwing 91 mph changeup, and Ober throwing 88 MPH fastball?

I'm hoping he doesn't become a regular closer because the Twins are tracking very well to set the MLB record of most pitchers getting a save in a season. The current record is 15 from the D-Backs last year. The Twins have had seven guys get saves this season, and we are only in May. Making Gomez the closer would really throw a wrench into their chase for the record.

For those of us not watching the game, What Happened?

Jhoan who?
-
Winnah . . . as expected . . . Never a doubt . . . Luis Garcia is closer of the year . . . Best Bullpen in baseball
-
That is a great name for a Savannah Bananas player
-
Luis Garcia . . . just the guy you want up in a save situation? (Maybe as the hitting team)
-
Buxton!!!!!
-
Good job, Royce. At this point, I'll take that every time.

No, we don't

The Twins have walked 9 batters today and struck out only 7. In contrast, the Guardians have struck out 16 Twins, and walked only 3.
-
Can they do it again?
-
Credits to the pitching. Two hitting the Guardians through nine innings is no small feat.
