    Managers do not pitch field or hit. They can coach them to improve. The team needs a first baseman and a thirdbaseman that can hit both left handed and right handed pitchers on a consistent basis. Not a stats fanatic but they are out there. Jim says he is going to spend. May need a catcher to replace Jeffers. Lewis Larnach and Bell can go. Sign a couple relief pitchers, the starting 5 will take care of themselves.

    Put him in left field and work hard on defense this off season, Use him as DH and fourth outfielder and he will do ok.

    DOES Jenkins hit lefties or will he be a platoon outfielder? Seems more likely that they do not want to call him up on account of next years possible lockout.

    If you get a good offer for Clemens trade him. Wallner needs to DH only when or if he returns. IMO Luke needs a AAA reset. I agree we need to get the young core up for a look. Get ready for the future. Fans may be more willing to come to the games to watch the up comers.

    Does Joe want to stay? I doubt it. Will there be baseball next year? I would love for him to resign, but you can get something for him now, instead of letting him walk for no return in the future.

    TIME TO SEND DOWN LEWIS, OUTMAN, AND WALLNER, WE NEED TO SCORE 10 RUNS A GAME TO HAVE A WINNING CHANCE WITH THIS BULLPEN. ANY 3 AAA GUYS WOULD BE AN IMPROVEMENT LET THE KIDS GET SOME EXPERIENCE. DOES POHLAD GO TO ANY OF THESE GAMES?
