  1. Dozier just doesn't have any luck tonight, that was his 3 K of the evening
  2. Looks like Morneau is truly back; he has hit two home runs in the last several games and not showing any signs of pain in his wrist.
  3. I have to say, the first pitch to dunn, at least on Gameday, looked like a really, really good pitch. Same with the second pitch to Konerko. This ump appears to have a seriously small strike zone. Good job by Walters to get Konerko to GIDP.
  4. And Willingham finally comes through against Floyd and makes him pay for walking Mauer. DOPE!!!!!!!!!! Morneau hits a three-run dinger on an 82 (seriously? That slow?) mph 2-seam fastball!
  5. Wow, another double off of a deflection by a Sox defender; this means that they should be catching certain balls, and aren't quite getting there.
  6. Seems like these White Sox are getting some solid line drives, but they are all right at Twins players; luck like that never lasts. :/
  7. A) How does Konerko keep putting up these monster numbers during the first half of the season and I hope that the Twins pitchers can shut Dunn down in this series and he can go back to the BA he deserves: .215
  8. After handing Floyd a long second, the Twins should have been able to do better than get out in only 12 pitches.
  9. Line for the Twins through 2 innings against Floyd: 11 AB, 5 H, 2 BB, 4 runs. It appears that the White Sox transplanted the pitching ability of Marquis into Floyd for tonite's game.
  10. From the Gameday "Scout": "That was pitch #45 for Floyd; his effectiveness may start slipping, as he holds batters to a .217 average in his first 45 pitches, then they start hitting .254 off him after that. (not that he already wasn't effective, lolol
  11. Span uses te speed and steals 2nd; there's te SB that we all thought was coming. Now if only Mauer could knock him in........or Willingham (Mauer walks)
  12. Carroll scores from 3rd after a wild pitch gets him to 3rd and a single from Span drives him in.
  13. I did read somewhere that the Twins, especially Gardy, were expecting Walters to have a little trouble with the gopher ball, because, according to Gardy, the way he attacks the strike zone. But never mind that now, Casilla has continued his good hitting against Floyd by doubling and scoring two runs! And then, next batter, Carroll singles in Casilla and then takes 2nd on the throw! Go Twins!
  14. The Twins have the perfect guy to get back to their winning ways against. Gavin Floyd's line v. the Twins: 4-10, 5.67 ERA. Reason why Casilla is in the lineup: in 17 AB, he has a .412 BA v. Floyd. Other Twins hitting well against Floyd: Mauer-38 AB, .421 BA, 3 HR; Span-26 AB, .500 BA; Willingham-5 AB, .400 BA; Morneau-26 AB, .231 BA, 2 HR (Morneau doesn't have a great avg, but he does have two HR's); Revere-7 AB, .286 BA; Carroll-13 AB, .308 avg. Dozier and Doumit are the only two Twins who haven't faced Floyd before, and therefore have had no chance to rack up gaudy numbers versus him. The only two White Sox player that have faced Walters is Kosuke Fukudome and Dunn
  15. Totally agree with you. Plus, I'm not sure I would trust to bring him up as a reliever before Guerra or Slama.
  16. I don't know why people are hating on Walters and Diamond, considering they have given a few rays of hope to this starting line that had won four in a row until it was broken by the black hole of suckiness that was Marquis. While Walters has given up 4 HR's in two outings, one he won, and the other he should have won. Therefore, I see nothing wrong with what either have done up here so far.
  17. Yeah!!!! First EP kid to the Majors! Go EP! Go DeVries!
  18. Don't think the Twins a) have the money to make it happen and b)no reason to pick up that kind of veteran with their rebuilding status.
  19. Totally reminded me of Cuddyer pitching last year in a similar-scoring blowout
  20. Does anybody know why the Brewers pitcher who was ejected today threw behind Carroll?
  21. Can't be doin that if ya wanna keep ya jabba, Marquis!
  22. Too bad about Boer continuing to struggle; as an EP native, I really want someone from here to make it to the bigs. I would also agree with what you said about Slama and there not being a hole in the bullpen for him. Lastly, how much of a no-doubter was Nishi's HR?
  23. I am not sure why, but the name Corey Seager sounds familiar. Where might I have heard it before?
  24. I would say that i would choose Zimmer, because he has the least wear on his arm because he was moved from 2b, I believe. He also has several pitches that are all "Major-League average", which isn't always easy to obtain after changing positions. After Zimmer I would probably choose Gausman, because he realized that one of his pitches wasn't working for him, tried out another pitch, and it is really working our for him now.
  25. Answering at least the draft question, if the Twins signed Greinke they would give the Brewers a compensation round pick IF they offer him arbitration worth about $12.5 million. Greinke actually has a better shot of staying near here because b4 he played in Milwaukee, he played in KC, so he knows both leagues and is connected to the Midwest.
