    Hell of a job by Pagan. Unfair to ask him to do that, but he got through it.

    I think Kepler and Polanco both come back Too good of price on both. If Lee gets up here early and all young guys are hitting and/or Kepler/Polanco go back to being mid. Then we have them as trade bait for back end starter depth or forsure bullpen help that im sure we will need again next year. Bring them both back for good prices and they help us win or become trade pieces.

    I just think with 2 outs and it being the 5th is why I let him do it. 1 out where contact is more essential is tougher. That said at least the pinch hitter was Solano a legitmately good hitter who can also be fine vs righties later on unlike Farmer or especially Luplow. And yeah kinda like you mentioned my theory/mindset on it is mostly cause I consider all remaining games meningless standings wise. Guardians are not catching us and we are not catching the Al West winner. So i wanted to see him try.

    Armstrong has a .81 era in 44 innings? Thats nuts.

    100% fair point. But this is a situation to find out. Hes never been awful vs them in the minors. And someone like Kepler has been awful for 10 years against lefties. But this second half has gotten hot and hit them well. Even though 10 years of data says he should be the platoon. So letting AK hit there with out lead and only the 5th inning is something we should let the kid try. If it was the 8th? 100% go Donny. But this is why teams uses lefties vs us early on. We are predictable and they know we will sub and they will gain the late inning edge with righties.

    Yup, hes always been a pull hitter only going oppo occaisionally. Not sure why a lefty is coming in on him like that. Oh well, their problem. Max was all over him on two pitches

    Kepler 100% coming back next year. Man has he been huge. Absolutely mental developmental strategy though for our young lefties. Kirilloff is 26. We gonna platoon him and every other lefty their whole lives? 5th inning with many ABs left in the game. Up 7.5 games in the division and we dont let him face a lefty? Insane

    Correct saying how many strikes were thrown is an insane stat. A pitcher could technically throw zero strikes but if every pitch is swung at thats what they count as haha

    It was a ball strike zone wise but its a great ptich for a lefty(most), they like it down and in and it hung there. The issue isnt swinging at balls vs strikes its good pitches to hit. How anyone can argue Vazquez swinging at a ball at his eyes or correa flailing down and away is good is beyond me.

    Rest my case. Kepler and Castro get goo pitches to hit and we score. Correa didnt and we struck out in between

    Here is a pointer for you. Strikes are also pitches that you swing at that are out of the zone. Like the 2 vazqeuz did that were at his eyes. Watch the game and leave me alone, you argue to argue never provide any actual input and border on harassment.

    That Vazquez AB was exhibit A on our approach the last 3 days. Was not interested in the slightest in taking a pitch.

    We might need the Guardians to win a couple games just to wake this team up. This is the 3rd straight game of 90% horrendous ABs. Not just bad but utterly awful 90% of the time. We are not even trying to put pressure on the pitchers most of the time.

    Also, I dont care how had the ball was hit, that Correa biffed ball was not a hit. He just flat out whiffed the catch.

    Maybe we should try a new strategy that involves taking a pitch or two. Swinging at everything is clearly not working. Correa out there chopping down like hes intentionally trying to hit 7 hop grounders.

    Headrick still being on this roster is probably the funniest thing of all He legit might be the worst reliever in baseball adn we keep rostering him. He chouldnt even do mop up duty in a game Cleveland punted in the 6th. He nearly killed their players he was so bad. Let the ball boy play over this guy

    Because using Duran in the 5th would be mental. Jax pitched yesterday. And if we use all those guys we are stuck with Floro in the 8th or 9th. THats even worse. Again, its the FO fault for not giving us options.

    Who is he going to go to there tho? Our pen stinks He isnt using Duran/Jax/Pagan/Thielbar in the 5th already. If we are gonna roster Floro thats about the onlytime you can use him. Falvey chose to roster him.

    Gray only went 4 I dont blame Rocco for going to Floro with a 7.5 game lead in the 5th. Blame should strictly be on the FO that this guy was our lone trade acquisition. Now that is laughable.

    That was some of the worst base running I have ever seen. Took the bat out of Royce hands and let Glasnow off with a decent pitch count. At the very least we need the guy to work for it. Woof Jeffers.

    I think having Lopez and Gray start playoff games with that much rest is asking for massive trouble. Space out their starts but dont go 10 days off before a playoff game.
