  1. Also appears they may want this as a full rest day for AK. But if they are that worried about Julien probably shouldnt play. Oh well at least Castro had a fun inning to get this thing tied! Still wish someone was able to hit for Stevenson but ill take entertaining meaningless baseball.
  2. Yeah I know we dont need to win but that was strange strategy. Even letting solano hit. You basically know best case hes gonna single. AK/Wallner both have better chances to hit a homer/double and still walk/get on base enough to give Kepler a shot if needed. Then yeah as we both said, burning Wallner last minute as a non hitter just odd.
  3. That was a bizarre inning It worked for Vazquez and Solano(kinda) but no lefty pinch hitters for them But then we use Wallner as a damn 2 out pinch runner?!?! Julien even with the leg issue plays every day and isnt exactly slow Dont you want Wallners power available down 1 for Farmer or Stevenson?!?!
  4. Huh?? How is that a HBP?? The idioit bunted at the ball haha. Thats a swing.
  5. Taylor with the outfield blunders today The throw to 3rd was insanely bad decision making Literally could have caught that ball. And if not going to catch it made no attempt to play the bounce.
  6. There is the homer Hung the slider bad. Probably shoulda kept to pumping heat.
  7. I mean our lineup is awful and the ABs have been equally awful(Polanco like wont even swing) but Greene looks wow today.
  8. Vazquez is such a liability its not even funny. Its just selfish and flat out bad baseball IQ swinging like he just did too. All that can possibly do is lead to a weak routine DP We cannot play this guy when games matter and we have got to find a way to not have him for 2 more years.
  9. Has he?? Hes had TJ already. Last year he had shoulder issues. This year he hit the 60 day IL. He hasnt exactly been a beacon of health and his issues are ones that directly impact pitchers in a big way.
  10. Nice hitting by Stevenson. Good for him Now Vazquez doinks one Maybe we can get something cooking on Greene...
  11. And hes got it working today. Not fair against our B team. Its sharp and hes pumping strikes.
  12. Not sure we score much with this lineup against Greene. Today might be just about getting Ober some good(hopefully) work. Maybe post pone it once hes done and save any injuries.
  13. This is the ultimate game where I know im a sucker for Twins baseball Day game. Nothing really to play for. This lineup...
  14. I have zero concerns about Correa playing. My concern like a lot of peoples is whether or not what he plays through will allow him to be competent. Hes gonna play. And the news today about his IL stint and the "tear" in the foot has a more promising recovery where some rest for 10ish days make actually make it more tolerable now. Lewis is the one im still worried on. Hes a gamer too and will do everything to play. But you never know leg injuries. And even if he does play will it impact his swing and being able to get all the way through the ball.
  15. Oh Maeda definitely could start I just find it likely that unless the WC round goes PERFECTLY, that Maeda gets some solid work in that round and isnt available for a full game 1 start. Assuming Ryan is the 3rd starter. Maeda is basically a lock to be the one used if any of the WC round starts are short. And I think in Ryans case it would be an extremely quick hook too.
  16. Still too early to know true extent But for early news tight Hammy is excellent news My medically incompetent read was originally hammy. But most talk was about the groin and had me dooms daying with everyone. If its really a tight Hammy thats best case. We play basically town ball teams to close out. Let him rest. Let guys like Stevenson get some ABs and have some fun.
  17. Every single year. Every single sport Cursed.
  18. I get using an opener to have your starter skip the top of the order But using 4 damn pitchers then going to your "starter" is just weird and imo moronic. Especially in a playoff chase.
  19. I say all of them 1. Hes flat out better 2. Vazquez cant hit 3. Ryan and Lopez randomly suck with Vazquez 4. Gray is really good with both anyways.
  20. Offense has to wake up a bit. Hasnt been too good lately outside of the homers. Good to draw walks but a lot of guys are unable to get run scoring knocks.
  21. Wallner showing an ability to get some singles when thats what the pitch calls for has been big lately.
  22. Luplow isnt a better option than Castro much less a "much better" option. And Stevenson didnt have options so we would have lost him forsure.
  23. Yeah TBH I think I leave Ober off the WC roster. For two reasons 1. He isnt used to high leverage relief so not really a big asset there 2. He is imo the clear cut option to start game 1 of ALDS should we use 3 guys in WC.

    Royce Lewis: ROY?

I LOVE Royce so its zero knock on him. But I dont think you can even remotely say this yet. Royce has a better pace this year than Henderson assuming it would be sustained for a full ride. But even if you assume that. Henderson is also a full two years younger as well Both are elite talents. Both are players any team would be dying to have. Long way to go to see who is the better overall player and contributor for next 5-10 years.
