  1. The nearest short-term fix is firing Popkins. This team is striking out at a historic level and the guy has zero track record.
  2. So tired of the Twins' TV broadcast and whether its Perkins or Morneau spoon feeding this ridiculous narrative that the Twins are always facing a CY Young candidate and terribly bad luck. Call it like it is.
  3. Kremer, Bradish and Irvin in Baltimore. Guessing the Twins go for 33 strike outs and 5 runs in the 3 games.
  4. 3 runs in 2 games. Popkins must go.
  5. Buxton was out with back spasms, right? So Rocco had him PH in consecutive games. If you really are dealing with a back injury, can't think of anything worse than sitting on a bench all game long and then coming in cold to take gigantic swings (and misses). It's just further proof that neither the Twins nor Buxton have any sort of clue. This franchise completely ruined him.
  6. I really dislike this team.
  7. The offense has been out to lunch all season. Writing was on the wall as early as opening day when they made Grienke look like it 15 years ago.
  8. Not that matters. Game was over at 1-0 but now its definitely over.
  9. Would be surprised if the Twins win a game against the Orioles.
  10. If Buxton was capable of playing the outfield, maybe the Twins sign Turner instead of Gallo.
  11. Sad but true. Time for Buxton to look at himself in the mirror and decide what kind of player he wants to be.
  12. And that's being kind...
  13. Oh, no doubt - the roster construction hasn't done Rocco any favors but his in-game decisions continue to be head scratchers and he's a huge reason this team is bad in 1 & 2 run games.
  14. Twins' pitching has shown in this series that it is good enough to win games in October against elite teams. It's a shame that it will go to waste and result in a 77 win season and in third place behind Cleveland and either Chicago or Detroit.
  15. Buxton to me is more of a front office issue than Rocco. Falvey and Levine are in their owns heads with it and in turn, Buxton's in his head. If Buxton isn't capable of playing in the outfield, then put him on the IL for however long it takes for him to either get right mentally or get physically. He's a net negative right now and the front office is allowing it.
  16. Can't get doubled off there, you just can't. Castro's been good for the Twins this season but that's an incredibly stupid mistake.
  17. More fundamentals from the Twins!
  18. If managerial greatness was measured by the number of blank, empty stares in the dugout, Rocco would already be in Canton...
  19. Have to earn that $10MM...
  20. With even a mediocre hitting team, Twins are around 10 games over .500 with 6+ game lead right now. Sigh...
  21. Take away Joe Ryan's first inning and the pitching has been stingy against one of the best line-ups (if not the best) in baseball. Makes the futility at the plate all the more infuriating.
  22. The pitch Lewis struck out on - was almost the identical pitch he fouled off right before it. Farmer's clueless right now. Guy's confidence is shot. He could use a stint on the bench.
  23. Popkins is going to get fired soon...right?!?
  24. Yeah, thought his last start in Detroit was smoke & mirrors but he's been tough today. A shame that the first run was the only one the Braves needed.
