  1. I didn't find the Jax trade to be disappointing. He was very much up and down in 2025 and based on how he's done thus far, the Twins sold at the right time and brought back a young, controllable starting pitcher. That's the type of trade good teams make - even if the starting pitcher potentially has some warts. It is a chance you need to take.
  2. We'll see what happens this season, and then in 2027 and 2028. I think it will take that long to fully judge the 2025 trade deadline. Bradley / Rojas / Abel / Tait could very well be long-term fixtures and the core of a contending team. It is just still too early to tell. And I might be in the minority, but if you plug Lou and Duran back into this roster, I think they'd have a shot to contend in the AL Central.
  3. What stinks is that if you put Lou and Duran back on this team, if you squint enough, you'd see the potential makings of a contender in the AL Central because I don't envision anyone running away with the division - including Detroit.
  4. Two struggling starting pitchers. Let's hope Abel is the first to bounce back. As for the long-term prospects for the Twins and fan attendance - it's been a good week of baseball, but JFC, that bullpen. Sometimes, they're victims of circumstance thanks to the play in the field behind them - but, they're also more than culpable. There's no one for Shelton to trust in that group - and over the course of 162 games, a bad 'pen will bury you.
  5. Who are these guys? Buck, Martin and Keaschall at the top of line up are fun to watch. Speed kills.
  6. I was excited about the trade at the time. While I didn't like the entire bullpen being shipped out, relievers tend to be volatile and Jax was definitely that at times. Trading for a young, controllable starting pitcher is the type of move the Twins need to make if they're going to rebuild. I don't know all the details of Bradley's time in Tampa Bay, it did seem they like soured on him relatively quickly. Their loss, hopefully the Twins' gain. He seems locked in and genuinely happy to be with a new organization.
  7. How much do the Dodgers or Yankees wind up giving Skubal next winter?
