  1. As a whole, they were doing that in April but they have gotten away from the patient approach. Frustrating because their best chance is to get into a team's bullpen early on, but that's hard to do when opposing pitchers can get through an inning with sometimes 10-15 pitches.
  2. Taj, per Game Cast, doesn't seem to have it tonight.
  3. Larnach launch!? That's what my ESPN game cast says!
  4. Apple TV means I can't watch. Hopefully Taj settles in. After the injury scare, wonder if it isn't still lingering...
  5. Fundy has been a disappointment. Can't quite put it all together
  6. For me, I'm not worried so much about the Twins rushing prospects (or not) as I am about the constant injuries in AAA. For Rodriguez and Jenkins, it seems like they have spent more time being hurt than they have playing. As we've seen with Lewis and Buxton, that can follow a player for a long time. I'm excited for Mendez but he's only 22 with 80 plate appearances in AAA. Calling him up now probably does more harm than good. The Twins have clearly thought about clearing a spot for Culpepper with Lee permanently moving to SS. That move will happen sooner rather than later. So I guess that leaves Gonzalez. Could argue that with Kreidler and even Clemens (!!!) getting some run in centerfield, you can jettison Outman and give the young guy a chance. But otherwise, there's really no one banging on the door in St. Paul or Wichita. I do think the Twins have been more willing to get the young arms up to the majors and two of them (Abel / Rojas) are already dealing with injuries.
  7. Kind of weird for Morris to only throw 29 pitches though. With the way the injury luck or bad luck is going - I'm waiting to hear that he was pulled because of some type of 'discomfort'.
  8. If nothing else, the man is saving the run differential.
  9. White Sox are an annoying team so the last two games sting more than they would have otherwise. Hoping some revenge next week...
  10. Barring a miracle, they'll be 4-3 leaving Chicago. Taj, Ober and Ryan in Pittsburgh. Even with the line-up struggling, the Twins have a legit chance at going 6-4 on this trip.
  11. Nah. You're only as good as that day's starting pitcher. Prielipp and SWR both struggled and I think it is fairly common in baseball for the bats to get jumpy or desperate when you fall behind by a ton of runs.
  12. Reverting back to some bad habits - take a pitch...or two.
  13. I'd consider this series to be a 'win' if someone brushes back #51. Dude is an absolute clown show. Enough already.
  14. That'll just about do it. All with two outs. Still can't put hitters away.
  15. SWR showing a bit more velocity today so that's one positive.
