  1. Maybe we can get Duffy and May back and bring back the band! Only thing positive about this move is he is left handed. Otherwise, get ready for the occassional implosions. The team has to do something RP wise, and he was in the bargain bin.
  2. I think the angst is more about working on the bottom of the 40 man without working on the top 25 man. I agree, I don't care about the 35-40 spot, but i do care about the 25 man roster. I see this sentiment was already posted, sorry.
  3. I could fill in at 3rd too, but that doesn't make the team any better!
  4. In that case, Cesar Pepe Tovar, Disco Dan Ford, Lyman Bostock, and who can forget the Carew trade for Kenny Landreaux. These are some of my favorite memories.
  5. Another sad issue, if you do get a carew, killebrew, oliva, hrbek etc., they will be gone after 5 years because they price us out.
  6. They have depth for sure, mediocre to less depth. I agree with earlier poster, we have Ryan and Lopez and then a bunch of mediocrity. Some have potential, others are just inning eaters or rotation fillers, especially during periods when 2 or more are injured. I would trade anyone but Ryan or Lopez, preferably for immediate help as a position player.
  7. Weren't those scheduled Sunday DH's the greatest back in the day?
  8. You went more in depth than I did which is great. I was just implying that a stacked bullpen is something we did not ever have last year. The preseason prognostication was wishful and foolish.
  9. Not even close. You include Ramirez and Stewart? Laughable. In 2025, 25 blown saves, lost 36 games by 1 run, bullpen had a 52.8% save percentage, 26th in mlb. Yep, we were stacked alright. Can you imagine if we improve on those stats next year? It will be the greatest bullpen of all time.
  10. Without listing specific players, both traded and received, it was alot of dead weight for dead weight.
  11. Good points. And don't forget, if you are the Twins organization, you need at least 16 guys making 1 mil or less.
  12. Maybe we can get another Alex Jackson type. A backup position player that hits under .200. Alex Jackson can sing a mean national anthem though. He is on tape for our high school games.
  13. And then you wonder why apathy is rampant in Twins town when a deal like this is considered a short term fix.
  14. The main point is he is expected to be the backup to Jeffers. Not only underwhelming but a complete joke.
  15. Lee, Miller, Cavaco, Gordon, Michael, etc. etc. Lewis just ok, jury still out on Houston and Culpepper. Could have had some franchise players if gone another route. But with our draft history prob unlikely.
  16. I loved his hit back in the '80's called Rhythm of the Night. Quite a performer.
  17. I am more into contact hitter than a home run every 10 -15 AB. Steer actually hit only one less HR than Wallner and struck out less. That's all. Neither one is a hall of famer. Just tired of Wallners ineptness. Only reason he has a higher OPS is the occasional HR. Not a Wallner fan. Sorry.
