  1. A new MLB team? Fans will show up win or lose — at first. The Twins proved that in the Met Stadium days. But by 1974, the novelty was gone, the team was losing, and they ranked 12th out of 12 in attendance. The trend of horrible attendance continued for 13 year and didn't break until 1987. Same story with Target Field. After the shine wore off, the product never lived up, and the seats started emptying again. Now? The Power of Three — Pohlads, Falvey, Baldelli — has broken what’s left of the fan base. People aren’t just tuning out because of a bad season. They’ve lost faith in ownership, the front office, and the dugout. That’s not a cycle you bounce back from with a bobblehead night.
  2. The spirit of the Twins fan base has been shattered by the Power of Three. 1) The Pohlads – an ownership that refuses to invest in winning. 2) Falvey – the architect of mediocrity, obsessed with analytics while the roster rots. 3) Baldelli – a manager who drains energy with lifeless decisions and zero fire. This trio has finally broken my passion for Twins baseball. Not just my patience , but my hope. Once hope is gone, the damage runs deeper than any losing season.
  3. When I saw the scoreboard, I honestly thought I’d come down with a sudden case of dexleia…😉
  4. I don’t buy into the mulligan philosophy — baseball doesn’t let you delete box scores. It's probably become the front office’s favorite stat filter. Mulligans don’t change the fact these players are who they are.
  5. Must be a really slow news day if we’re hyping a battle for backup catcher in 2026.
  6. The Twins keep climbing the ladder of futility — but don’t worry, the Polhads are holding it steady while Falvey makes sure it doesn’t reach October.
  7. Buck won’t tread? Twins will either trade him or hand him a floatie to survive the cesspool he’s swimming in.
  8. I'll just add: Q: What do the Twins and a dull pencil have in common? A: They are both pointless.
  9. Whatever Miranda was on during his 12 hit streak, he ran out of.
  10. Seems to me, Ryan is sending a message for the Twins to trade him. Once players stop believing the organization is serious about winning, they start checking out mentally. Ryan has been very shaky since the trade deadline. All-Start to Fallen Star.

  12. Not to beat a dead horse, but to give it one more whack. Since dumping Alcala....here's the list of relievers that have come thru the door. Joey Wentz Noah Davis Pierson Ohl Anthony Misiewicz José Ureña Kody Funderburk Michael Tonkin Erasmo Ramírez It’s practically a sitcom at this point, but not body stays long enough for the closing credits.
  13. It's going to be interesting to watch the fan base reaction....we thought the cost cutting year of 2023 alienated fans, this is adding fuel to the fire. The soul of the fan base is going to be severely tested. Twins fan waited 20 blasted years too see a post season victory, then they pulled the carpet out of any momentum. Now a massive sell off?
  14. It's a disaster waiting to happen...No bullpen and the way Rocco burns thru guys.....it's going to be an interesting painful 2 months.....if anyone is left to watch.
  15. Here are Falvey's 1st and 2nd round picks. I will let the reader decide, but not a lot to get excited about from what I see. To really know, one would have to dig into the other 29 GM's picks and see who knows what they are doing. Even Falvey's picks currently in MLB are not high level impact players. Hopefully that happens with Lewis and Lee. 2017 Royce Lewis - MLB Landon Leach - Bust 2018 Trevor Larnach - MLB Ryan Jeffers - MLB 2019 Keoni Cavaco - Bust Matt Canterino - not much better 2020 Aaron Sabato - Not advancing Alerick Soularie - struggling in minors 2021 Chase Petty - Traded to Reds Steve Hajjar - Traded to Reds 2022 Brooks Lee - MLB Connor Prielipp - arm issues 2023 Walker Jenkins - ? Charlee Soto - ? 2024 Kaelen Culpepper - Looking good, moving up the ladder. Kyle DeBarge
  16. Rocco Baldelli, Post-Trade Press Conference: "You know… I've always wanted to manage a Triple-A team. This is great. I don’t even have to change my parking spot."
  17. So...let imagine this.... You buy a brand new SUV for $200,000, a couple of years later, you decide gas is way to expensive, so you sell the SUV for $90,000, still owing $60,000 on it. and then call it a "smart move" because it "frees up garage space." Hmm...
  18. Twins could even turn this into a marketing campaign. "Come see the Best Triple A team in the Majors" Now with 10% more dead money and 90% less hope!
  19. This article along tells me the Minnesota Twins are one messed up organization...border line horrid. You sign Carlos Correa to a $200M+ deal, only to desperately try to dump him a few years later, while eating up to $10M per year in dead money , that isn’t strategy. It’s a complete failure.
  20. I believe CC only has 3 years left after this season, not 4....thank goodness.
  21. Welcome to the club. https://www.si.com/mlb/twins/minnesota-twins-news/duran-trade-symbolizes-twins-decades-old-strategy-sell-hope-repeat
  22. Emotion clicking in here so blast me if you want. Paddack earns his first win as a Tiger. The man delivers six strong innings with five strikeouts against the Diamondbacks. Meanwhile, back in Minnesota… this era of Twins baseball is starting to feel like another "death valley." You can almost hear Kirby Puckett’s voice echoing through Target Field. If the Puck was still around, I’d give anything to hear what he’d say. Kirby called the 1993 - 1998 year's "death valley" if you recall. Meanwhile....Twins are getting pasted by Boston. If you’re Chris Paddack, you’ve got to be wondering if someone spiked your sunflower seeds.
