    Regarding Bradley, I would disagree- Maki has done wonders. Kremer is much better than Jackson.

    @HarmonK03- Kremer has a .5 WAR and a slightly over 3 ERA for the Twins in 3 starts. Granted small sample size but that is #2 starter quality. Do I expect that next year no, but I do think he does have the upside of #3 starter stats.

    Other than Buxton I really like the approach of the 4 other batters. Throw in Culpepper and even Keaschall and the bats look legit. Defense on the other hand, still a work in progress and where do all these players play?

    He has 11 home runs - not exactly no power and currently an .857 OPS. The approach likely remains and have a mid/high .700 OPS to begin. You are looking for an Arraez like bat out of him at his full potential.

    It appears in either case we have several prospects with good hit tools. Similar to Keaschall though we may have to many with questionable defense. Now they initial tried Mendez at 1st but he ended right back in the outfield this year. We have a bit of a glut with Gonzalez, Rodriguez, Jenkins, Mendez - Then add in Roden and Buxton. Mendez is on the 40 man and his approach appears to be MLB level. I would be ok with giving him a shot at the big leagues but my guess is Wallner, Rodriguez or Gonzalez would be the 1st options.

    Who are you considering a #5 type pitcher - Ober? The Twins should have one of the stronger rotations next year with ample upside.

    Ober's velocity is rapidly decreasing. Right now Obers size seems to be as much of a detriment as an advantage as the body appears to be breaking down. His quality starts have begun to decline later in the season. My guess is the Twins will not give him arbitration

    I personally think Larnach becomes the primary DH but who knows. Maybe Keaschall takes that for the majority of his games.

    Actually this is one of the few times I trust what they say, not that I agree with it. Say what you will Tom had a vision for this season and has stuck with it the entire season.

    They said they were keeping them to try to win and build the relationship with the players and fans that they were investing in the team. The only way Larnach was traded was for an MLB player.

    Sadly I think you are correct. We rushed Buxton back to give him an experience at Field of Dreams - DFA’d Jackson then brought him back to replace Martin. The question is will we dfa him again before the expansion of rosters?

    I am generally thinking tank as well which is weird with only being 1 1/2 games out. Zoll and Tom have been extraordinarily optimistic on this season and has wasted opportunities to add pieces to the team in trading Jeffers and or Larnach.

    Actually 3 - Rodriguez, Gonzalez and Mendez - I really don't understand what they are doing.

    Less than 45 days on the active roster and less than 130 at bats. I don't think thats the issue now. We may have seen the team flip flop on bringing up rookies to the active roster now because of the implications with a lockout. If on the 40 man unable to talk with coaches or be in team facilities after November 1st. Unable to be on a minor league team until a new CBA is signed. Zoll and Tom seem to be waffling in the wind right now. Unless Caratini or Jeffers is dinged up this is an asinine move. If the goal was to get him to the minor leagues to protect him and avoid the roster issues of 3 catchers we completely negated dfa'ing him and putting him on waivers.

    I will disagree with that assessment but ultimately we don't know. At that time you had no less than 6 teams with a dire need of catcher.

    Or Caratini/Jeffers are dinged up as well. That is the only logical thing - otherwise we likely are not seeing any other rookies this year unless we make a run at the end of the season.

    Seriously - what the heck are we doing? The 2 transactions are beyond idiotic combined. If you were trying to get him down to the minors to then protect, we have an outfield need and you have 3-4 players you could utilize. Are we suddenly going completely conservative on calling up rookies after calling up Culpepper? The direction of this front office is mind boggling.

    His only legitimate spot is 2nd base. His lack of an arm is a bigger detriment in the outfield. Either that or he better get the 1st base mitt.
