    Let's see if I have thiss how Gunn wants it. My Brother There are different perceptions of reality. The thought patterns are what they are. I thought I read you went to the game up there. It was cold out there and things get numb in the cold, right? I doubt that they have the small flasks of liquid antifree so popular with some icefishermen when I was there so am I safe to assume you found an alternative?

    Stories, not fact. There is a difference. Frequently for the top ranked free agents? How about rarely. Edwin Jackson was about the only one who signed a one year contract. Judging by this year's contract, Boras did the right thing.

    Bourn on a one year contract? There ought to be a rule that you can't post pure fantasy. Bourn would have signed a one year contract for 40 million.

    Why is OK on one thread to complain about a player with a half year of major league experience not being perfect, yet on this thread it is a bore to be repeatedly complained about?

    A lot of people would appear to be quick to pull a trigger. Yep Robertson gave up a homer to a lefty. Deal with and move on. Last year he was good against the lefties. Since it was the 8th, why wasn't Burton in there?

    Do you teach yor students to cherrypick facts and compare apples to oranges?. Comparing blog hits between different sports as way to measure popularity. Never mind that one of the teams has performed well over the last decade while the other has given new meaning to the word futile. There is no guarentee of a fiscal cliff, there is no guarantee there will not be. When how we view entertainment programs continues to change we shall see what the price will be. To think that cable will go on forever is shortsighted.

    The explanation of the Correa signing will be in Ryan's memories. It will be avaialable only after 100000 copies are sold. Every remainng Twins fan will buy one to find out what the heck Ryan was thinking signnig Correa for the second year. My personal bet is all the other third tier free agents wanted 10 million a year to pitch for the Twins, so Ryan thought he was getting a bargain. Yes I am mostly joking. I don't want to get "up northed"

    You don't think having your 3/4/5 hitters now bat 2/3/4 is going to make a difference in the long run? Isn't it progressive forward thinking?

    I believe the unenlightened Cardinals and Giants have wone more World Series lately than have the enlightend AL East. The AL East has not had a stranglehold on going to the World Series. If making the playoffs is good enough then there is no need to discuss how Gardenhire manages, only that he never has the players. Specifically the pitchers. Timely hitting and pitching got the Giants and the Cards what they got.

    So if his obp goes down in the 2 spot, isn't that the oposite of what you want? If his slugging percent goes up, isn't that what you want out of the three spot? Carew was a leadoff hitter. So any comparison between the two is sort of useless as a 2 versus three slot argument for Mauer. Carew could steal a base, too.

    This is a Twins board, thought you were talking about the Twins, Being you didn't get Steve Braun right away I figure you know a little less about the Twins than I thought. And no I didn't even think of Ryan Braun. When discussing bad Twins third basemen Braun came to my mind. Why do you think they moved him to lf?

    Uh Puck. Ryan Braun may be worse than Steve Braun. I don't know why I would think you would would have watched Steve Braun play.

    Steve Braun played in the 1970's. If Braun had that bad of UZR in 2007 it was because 59 year olds shouldn't be playing 3b.

    Braun's career tz at 3B was -9. That should make Braun actually not the worse 3B you ever saw, just merely one of the poorer ones.

    So what is the polite way to ask somebody why they post on something they have absolutely no clue about? Sometimes I really would like to know the answer to that question. Almost kinda miss Leviathian be a salty dude towards others. (Not about this thread)

    With what they say to each other, they all might have the common sense to keep what they say and think to themselves. They may be very clear in expressing what they think without having to resort to being loud, or physical. letting the media in on what you say to others and what you think of othres is not leadership. That is merely drawing attention to yourself.

    Yes it wrong for Gardenhire to have a public doghouse. It is also wrong for fans to rip on someone that plays as hard as they can but has limited ability. There are players like Butera and Florimon playing because the team has no better options than them. They play to the best of their ability. If they quit doing so that would be a different matter.
