  1. I picked what I believe to be the 4/5 most important pieces of our “core” for the next 4-6 years. Not a knock on Ryan or Winder, great players who look like they’ll be staples for years to come.
  2. • Buxton • Kirilloff • Lewis • Arraez • Duran barring any moves at the deadline. Ryan, Winder, Miranda, and Larnach all nice supporting pieces contributing now. Pretty solid group, especially when you consider this upcoming crop of pitching in Canterino, Povich, Festa, SWR, Hajjar, Varland, Adams, Raya, Laweryson, Paredes, Headrick, Gipson - Long, Balazovic Youll hit on a few of those guys. I like the shape we are in for the next 4-6 years.
  3. Bernie Williams is ridiculously underrated. Pretty wild he’s not in the HOF to me.
  4. I love Cruz and any playoff team would love to have his bat. I’d be more interested in Josh Bell though. Would allow Kirilloff to take left and Miranda to DH.
  5. What makes you think dumping big money into the bullpen is a good idea with this front office. Take a look at the track record. the track record across MLB, in signing big name relievers is actually terrible, so no. Not smart, regardless of tonight.
  6. Paying bullpen arms is the dumbest idea thrown out possible
  7. Idk if I’d classify Happ as just a corner bat. He’s logged the majority of his professional innings in center field and 30% of his games started with the Cubs have been at 2nd or 3rd.
