    If Jake Cave is in AAA it means the Twins are winning, so I'll pass on being on his show ?

    Well, there is a reason I have a pair of his game used cleats signed on display in my basement in my house along with a signed ball. My signed jersey is currently getting framed as we speak.

    I guess you and Donaldson must be best friends? He was never a good fit in Minnesota and it showed during his 2 year tenure and it shows even more in his absence.

    Well, I've had nothing but positive interactions with him first hand as a fan, and some athletes can be kind of douchey because they're athletes and he is the always the opposite of that. The fans love him, his teammates love him, he's also done a lot to help out people back in his hometown in Venezuela and he is a great dad and a great husband. You don't have to know a person intimately to know he is a great guy who loves the game of baseball and likes to have fun.

    Knowing Arraez and the kind of person he is, nothing would warrant being berated or yelled at, especially by someone like Donaldson. Donaldson is the same guy who got ejected from a game after kicking dirt on the plate following a homerun so I can't take him too seriously when it comes to sportsmanship and trying to be a clubhouse leader.

    Aside from stats "Double Play Donaldson" is a diva and a locker room cancer, getting rid of him for anything was a win. Team has much better chemistry without him.

    I've said it before and I'll say it again, Buxton may be the teams best player, but by seasons' end Arraez may be the most valuable.

    He's putting together a career season like Garver had in 2019.

    I think giving Royce opportunities to play other positions at the AAA level to see how he does is a great idea, to see how he will fit on the big club going forward.

    I think the one of the main issues with moving Gio to another spot is he has been playing gold glove level defense at 3rd.

    The 6th and 8th innings are an example of what I'm talking about, Twins led 2-1 and Arraez walked then came around to score to make it 3-1. Twins add another to make it 4-1. The Royals scored in the bottom of the 7th to make it 4-2, in the 8th Arraez again walked, moved to second on a single, to third on a fielders choice then scored on a wild pitch to make it 5-2 and the game was over then, top of the 9th comes and Twins score 4 more to blow it open. It was a thing of beauty.

    Buxton may be the best player on the Twins, but by the end of the season Arraez may be the most valuable. The game Saturday night Arraez completely took over, getting on base via hits and walks, driving in runs and scoring runs. He was a wrecking ball. It seemed like every time the Royals had momentum Arraez would come up the next half inning and do something to swing it back to the Twins. When he scored on that wild pitch in the 8th to make it 5-2 the Royals and their fans knew the game was over.

    That one at-bat is really a justification for the robo umps.

    Gaining as much ground in the division in the next 2 weeks will be huge for when their schedule gets more difficult. They need every one of these wins right now. I'm actually been rooting for the Yankees to beat Chicago ? and that goes against every fiber of my being.

    Agreed about Sano, no surprise the team is playing so well in his absence. Also agree about Jorge Lopez, he would be a great back end reliever. Arraez has made some pretty sweet picks at first base on semi-errant throws from the left side of the infield but people don't seem to realize that.

    You would be surprised how many Twins fan live in the KC area, me included. The section I sat in last night behind the visitors dugout was full of Twins fans.

    My wife is a childhood friend of Jorge Lopez and we've followed his career for several years, I would be thrilled to see him in a Twins jersey.

    Having a lefty in the rotation was nice.... for the 2 games it lasted. I have a feeling the leash on guys like Archer and Bundy will shorten so Smeltzer may be back in the rotation pretty quickly if he keeps pitching well in St. Paul.

    That is a big "If" and this is his second TJ surgery so I wouldn't call the trade a win in any scenario, unless the third player they received Brayan Medina turns into the next Johan Santana. Pagan is a shaky reliever at best and losing Paddack makes this a big L.

    The question is who do they trade and for what? They've got so many pieces contributing right now and the return has to be better than what they got from the Rogers deal.
