  1. Anybody else hate that whistling sound they play when one of the opponents...in this case us...strikes out? I can't tell you how that bugs me! Everything about the effing Yankees bugs me!!!
  2. Well...we've proven that we can't beat the Yankee's AAA team. Maybe they can send the AA team in next, and we'll see if we can beat them!
  3. Embarrassing. We absolutely suck. In 30 minutes, we can start to lose another one. We're gonna finish a distant third to Cleve and Chi. Sickening.
  4. This is like watching a v-e-r-y s-l-o-w moving train wreck. You know what's gonna happen, but it's taking forever to occur.
  5. That was a balk all the way too.
  6. Fear not gang...even with Duran in there, the end is near. We will find a way to cough this one up.
  7. We need to get a manager and coaches in here, that actually KNOW the game of baseball and how to teach and play it. This is getting absurd.
  8. Didn't matter that he slowed up rounding 3rd. He was out by a mile no matter what. Just a stupid move to send him by Watkins.
  9. I absolutely HATE this runner on 2nd in extras garbage.
  10. All part of Rocco's "master plan".
  11. HELLUVA play by Carlos...too bad the guy is all field-no hit!
  12. Great...our best pitcher is in to hold them, and we're gonna start kicking the ball around.
  13. Some things never change...sigh.
  14. Judge is just a beast.
  15. We need to get the kid a few more runs. Even with the Yanks "mystery" lineup, two runs can disappear fast.
  16. 100% agree. It's nice to see a pitcher get the ball back from the catcher and throw the next one, instead of putzing around.
  17. I know it's a make up, middle of the week, day game...but that's as empty as I think I've ever seen Yankee Stadium. There's nobody there.
  18. I'll be watching and keeping my fingers crossed not to get swept today. I'm not asking for much, am I? For once I'd like to go in there and kick ten kinds of dog crap outta the Yankees! I am looking forward to seeing Varland.
  19. This is only my opinion. To answer your question...Baldelli follows the script. He does exactly what his analytic data sheets tell him to do. I don't think he currently has the ability, or maybe even the authority, to do anything but that. Whether that makes him a "middle manager"...I don't know. As I said...this only my opinion. I don't particularly care for the way the team is managed and the decisions that are made...by whomever is making them. I honestly don't think Baldelli is making them...they're coming from the FO.
  20. Even though it won't happen, I'd love to see Emilio pack his bags.
  21. I respect your opinion, but I also respectfully disagree. I'll leave it at that. Granted, it worked out yesterday. The late runs we scored made all the difference in the world. I guess I'm too old school, and just too damn old, to grasp the way some teams use their bullpens. There are still many teams that use their "closer" in the traditional way. I wish we were one of them. That's all I'll say on the subject.
  22. Gut-Bombs and brew...those were the days. At least for me it was. More like bland meals and meds now.
