  1. Because I'm not a single issue voter, and because if the threat is real even Ron Paul would do something about it.
  2. No that just isn't true, zero conservatives support Trump. Every racist who has ever voted Democrat supports Trump. I have to imagine that's a pretty large #.
  3. Because I believe we can deal with ISIS? I'm a Ron Paul Rand Paul supporter, but much like Ron Paul and to a lesser extent Rand Paul Cruz has proved he is willing to fight for libertarian principals. But we see one statment suggesting he might be willing to use his military and you disqualify him? Thats fine, but you don't get to define the word libertarian because of your personal view on a single issue.
  4. The libertarian stance on gay marragie is the govenment should have nothing to do with marraige, and it sure as heck shouldn't mandate churches do things they don't want to do that harm nobody. Figuring out who's feelings might be hurt isn't the role of government.
  5. So do you also not want roads? Goverment does do some things libertarians do agree on that. It's a matter of what we think we have to do to keep ourselves safe. A militia isn't going to stop ISIS, individuals with guns for the most part will not stop ISIS. The exact military stratigy is up for debate but don't give me this I or Cruz aren't a libertarian because we care about keeping Americans safe. The term libertarian was hijacked by the pro drug and anti military crowd after 9-11 but the terms meaning never changed. I wish we could have no governemnt but we have to settle for limited governerment because we have to have commen sense. I laugh when people take all the things that can go either way about being a libertarian as the main principals of being a libertarian. Am I also not a libertarian because I prefer we build some 4 lane roads as opposed to just 2 lane roads?
  6. Oh I see. I guess since I've voted Republican once I'm not a libertarian and am just not smart enough to get it. Let me repeat I am a libertarian.
  7. Libertarians go both ways on national security issues. He's not your kind of libertarian but he is a libertarian.
  8. If your saying support third parties I would count that as an equivlant to showing up at caucuses/primaries. I just don't want to hear the term lesser of two evils from people who don't do anything to sway the process.
  9. Clearly theres something that bothers you about Cruz, why not point that out rather then create a guessing game as to what the secret ingrideient to your deffinition of libertarian is. I support Ted Cruz in large part because I tend to be a libertatian.
  10. Again show up at caucuses, thats where the entire process happens.
  11. He was asked if he would pledge to support the Republican nominee and he wouldn't. He's had hours and hours and hours of interviews to prove he's something othert then a Democrat and he's never done it.
  12. I never said he was supported by Democrats, much like Steven Colbert played pretend Republican Trump is clearly doing the same. In politics what they want you to think is going on and what actually is going on are almost never the same thing.
  13. Political skill being the key factor, and Cruz has it.
  14. Odd that Democrats seem to know what he stands for, I sure don't I know the crap that comes out of his mouth, but everythime he tries to give details he either falls way short or makes it clear he's never left the Democrat party.
  15. trump is a Democrat, I get why Democrats pretend he's part of the tea party. And some people who think they are tea party Republicans support him, but it's simple to know if you are an actual a supporter of the tea party. If Rick Satori's speech on CNBC in 2009 mattered to you you are, if it didn't you aren't.
  16. This is why Cruz will win. Cruz can't sell out his principals for a failed political stratigy that doesn't have the #'s on it's side. My vote is just as valuable as any moderates. In fact a moderates vote is worthless because they won't have your back while in office, just like they don't have Obama's back despite voting for him.
  17. If thats the case Marco Rubio can't win, so why not nominate Ted Cruz? If thats not the case Ted Cruz could win so again why not nominate Ted Cruz. If you don't like Ted Cruz show up at a repubican caucus.
  18. I find it comical when people say a true Republican can't win. Why did Scott Walker win his recall and reelection? It sure as heck wasn't because he said oh fine Democrats I'll give you most of what you want. People like me typically don't vote Republican for a reason. George Bush was electable and most Democrats and I agree he was horible. The last thing I care about is what candidates people who wouldn't vote for John Kasich Jeb Bush or Chris Christe also wouldn't vote for.
  19. Is Berrios good enough that I shouldn't be worried that the Twins don't even care about adding a top of the rotation pitcher? It's funny compared to 3 years ago the Twins pitching staff is more then fine but we need to take the next step and 5 #3 and 4 starters isn't gonna get us there. I do think with a healthy Perkins and a full year of Jepsen the bullpen is probably fine with a little tweaking.
  20. If Cruz isn't the nominee the Republican party is dead to me. I've tried and seen the third party thing fail to much to think thats ever a meaningful option for me again, but maybe Trump can bring life back into it if we have to go that route.
  21. I was on the executive committee of the Independence Party into 2007. I caucused as a Republican in 2008 no questions asked. Oh and I didn't vote for John McCain. Trump supporters will be at Republican answers so from my persepective you can clearly not be a Republican and participate in the process. Democrats are a little more strict about the process from what I hear, but if need be you can fake it.
  22. Disagree the problem is lack of participation, even if you don't feel you belong in a room full of nut job Republicans or wacky Democrats your voice can only be heard at caucuses. If even 25% of Americans participated in the process it would be a game changer. I'll be there supporting Ted Cruz my support will be counted.
  23. I think I'd put Christie among Rubio Cruz and as much as I hate to say it Trump as the 4 favorites at this point. I doubt Rubio has what it takes to overcome those three, but he's best positioned if he is that good of a politician. I'm to biased for Cruz and against Trump to honestly eveluate either's true chance at this point. As for Christe any momentum at all and he's taking off it's just a matter of him finding that momentum. If Trump starts out hot before the field starts to clear and then gets passed late by the "true winner" with other candidates winning a few states we could see this go to the convention.
  24. As much a I'm on the come on this is terrorism side of things politically, I find it odd that you go kill your own coworkers. Even terrorist tend to like the people they interact with. Also if the wife was on board why not kill at two locations? Seems like they jumped in to this before they could be properly recruitied and trained. I'm not really any more scared then I was before this. That being said the effort to avoid the word terrorism might not be the only effort going on to make this look like something it's not. After the attempt to blaim Benghazi on a video it's hard to be confident in any information.
  25. Fair enough
