I know a lot can change and this poll could be off by a lot, but if a Minnesota head to head poll shows this shouldn't the DNC put an instant end to Hillary. I don't get it. By the way as a Republican seeing this I say a nomination of anyone but Cruz Paul or Carson would be silly. I'll take a 40% chance of Cruz over a 90% chance of Rubio.
St Cloud up to #4 in the pairwise. Meanwhile preseason champions Mankato and Duluth sit at #21 and #33 with the Gophers rallying all the way up to 44th, Bemidji State lagging behind at #48
Perfectly fair story, not every bit of news requires a hack spin. As for whats funny, some people are funny, others are prop comics who don't even know what the word funny means. Carrot Top and John Oliver have a lot in common.
I've drawn no conclusions other then that John Oliver isn't worth a single thought from me. I think very little of NBC ABC and not much more of CBS, but give me an actual journalist over John Oliver. The fact that rather then giving the link to a real report we link John Oliver says a lot.
To some extent yes. Listen it's not 2024 yet so Matt Bevin isn't being investigated in full by me. If there is a reason I should not bother being a fan of Bevin give me some insight beyond the conclusions of John Oliver. Quick question was the Oliver report before or after the election and if before how much reporting did he do on the credibility of bevins Democrat opponent?
No I don't care about the conclusions of a Jon Stewart wannabe. Sorry that I didn't conclude he lied, given the media today's leap to declare things that clearly are not lies as lies I'm not even willing to give John Oliver a click.
So play it safe and have no convictions, and make sure nothing changes? I'd rather vote for Clinton. By the way how did that work out for us with McCain and Rommney. I guess we just have to assume it would have beem worse with Ron Paul. I'd like to see Ted Cruz get 35% so you all can do a little happy dance cause you were right. Only problem is I don't think you're right.
I'm not defending Bevin? I'm sorry I don't have time to care about the dirt John Oliver is throwing at him. He won, and when he runs for president and people a little more significant then Oliver want to investigate him I'll defend him.
Wouldn't it be "stupid" to choose not to vote because the race that impacts you the least isn't on the ballot? I do like that Democrats are assuming these people that more often then not choose not to vote will show up for an elderly white woman.
You meen I could watch a video where some guy calls me and people like me stupid? I understand John Oliver is the new Jon Stewart or something to that I say who cares. I get liberal politics and I respect liberal politics, but if you find it really important to call me stupid that's fine.
Probably somewhat of a factor at least in the primary fight is "Extreamist" Matt Bevin wins big as Governor of Kentucky despite all polls showing him trailing or tied. It appears the average Republican already is saying to heck with the establishment but this win might just push a few more to support who they want rather then avoid "extreamist" out of fear of losing. Bevin of course tried to take out Mitch McConnell in a primary challange 2 years ago coming just short but making a huge name for himself nationwide and is a huge prospect for the white house in 2024 (I think it's safe to assume "extreamist" Ted Cruz will run for re-election in 2020).
I'm a Ron Paul Republian as well, and if it's up to me Rand is getting the nomination. I wish Cruz focused as much on economic issues as Ron Paul, but the reality is despite sometimes being overly focused on immigration or abortion Cruz has the grasp and commitment to curbing the economic destruction from the white house (now in it's 15th year). By the way I don't want Rubio but who cares if he shows up to vote, not exactly the first candidate who missed votes. The fact of the matter is Rubio is a vote for his side when it matters, if a vote is 58-40 or 58-41 do you actually care? And if you do actually care did you care enough to find out who else missed the vote? Nobody actually cares otherwise Obama wouldn't have been electe, and Jeb Bush would be more careful with his endorsements.
Last night felt like the end of Bush, the worse case senerio is getting better and better. Just put this thing on Cruz control and win this thing. I know, I know, people who aren't planning on voting Republican to begin with think he can't win.
Sid confirmed on the sports show last night that Flip had been in a comma for several weeks. Then he couldn't stop talking about Bill Musseleman. I don't get Sid, did he do this stuff 30 years ago or is it just his old age. Good to know Flip didn't suffer though.
Solid weekend for the Gophers and the big ten as a whole. Omaha is building an elite program, will be interesting what they do when Blais moves on, can't imagine he will coach beyond this years freshman class.
I would assume Mankato State will join the NCHA along with Arizona State in the next year or two assuming they can stay among the top of the WCHA. Of course it would help if they scored a goal at some point. They looked like a capable team Friday night, but Saturday night I was a little less sold that they could compete outside the WCHA. Young team they'll come around but the NCHC is tough. By the way for St Cloud there really isn't a meaningful difference between the NCHC and the old WCHA outside of losing Minnesota which already happened. I like playing Bemidji and Mankato but I don't care if it's conference or non conference.
Off to a perfect start to the season!!! And hey who wouldn't watch the son of a marginal Twin from the 90's? In reality I can't help cheer a little for Brent Gates jr, and despite making a mistake choosing the Gophers it's fun to see Michael Brodzinski jr play well in what will be the only year probably of a decade where St Cloud State won't have a Brodzinski on the roster. The good news the Gophers bring in Charlie Lindgrens brother next year so if he's half the goalie his brother is the Gophers should be in good shape going forward.
Well the documented case of lying about concussions was during his failed drug rehab stint. People lie to get out of commitments all the time. look at Derrick Rose. Look at some of the people you or people you know work with. The only incentive once a big contract is signed is future contracts which suddenly aren't all that life altering and pride. The only reason you see so much pride among pro athletes is because it took a lot of it to get where they are. By the way a lot of pro athletes are drug addicts.
