  1. It is reasonable to ban guns from the mentally ill, those on ther no fly list... The problem is the moment a law like this is on the books the power to put a name on one of those lists is to much. Another problem criminals will now have a way of finding out who isn't allowed to own guns. I don't need a gun as long as the criminals don't know if I have one, the moment they know I don't have one I need one. It would be really nice to trust the government but much like black lives matter doesn't trust the cops and tea party groups don't trust the IRS it's not going to work that way. Better to protect the 2nd ammendment then create the mess that this would cause.
  2. So win elections on the issue. We have differing opinions on the issue, thats reality. Democrats act like this is a really important issue in their talk, but in action they make it very clear it isn't.
  3. If Democrats want to make this a priority it's really simple. Make a compramise on another issue and get Paul Ryan to agree with it. It clearly isn't a priority of Democrats, but up until the point when everyone noticed this was a terrorist issue it seemed like a decent political play.
  4. He can't he has a no trade clause. Oh wait wrong automatic response.
  5. Exactly my thoughts, he was hyped up to clearly deserve at bats over Mauer. Maybe the Twins still have high hopes, but his agent sure doesn't either that or his agent was only going to make money if he signed in the US and screwed his client when the Twins low balled him.
  6. Actually pretty impressed by the Gophers effort last weekend. Hanging with a team like St Cloud is a pretty big accomplishment for a Big Ten team.
  7. So by using a # I'm a liar? The # would have to be wrong for it to be a lie or not honest. I guess calling me racist didn't work so we're on to the next cheap shot. If you disagree with that number say something.
  8. I understand you might have missed the post I originally replyed to, but in that post it was the white race that was singled out. It was more of a matter of fact response to an odd post simply stating that we don't support school shootings. Maybe the confusion is that it's such common sense it shouldn't require being pointed out. Of course the fact that everyone is questioning me rather then the original poster tells me a lot.
  9. No study, just disagreement when I said more then 99.99% Yeah of course it's a made up stat, but unless you think it's under 99.8% who cares.
  10. You don't seem very confused. By the way I better edit my stat. More then 99.8% of white people don't support school shootings. Enough people have questioned it that it is clear that many think a heck of a lot of white people support school shootings, I find that disgusting but oh well.
  11. Not you, you never called out the white race as supporters of school shootings. I agree we can do something about it, problem is people that want to ban guns more aren't a solution from my perspective, and putting guns in the hands of people who are trained to use them in schools is not a solution the other side is willing to consider. I can respect the other side, and I really respect the fact that the instant a shooting happens both sides are instantly trying to solve the problem despite the political stalemate.
  12. Understood, so you happen to be in complete agreement with my "racist" statement? You were implying that you and others probably were disagreeing with it. Let the record show that despite a lot of people really really wishing they were disagreeing with me NOBODY has disagreed with me, and in this case it appears you are offended that I suggested that you disagreed with me. Please don't call me racist, please don't imply I am racist it's disgusting.
  13. So you are on record as saying a statisticly meaningful # of white people are pro school shooting? Don't say it if you don't mean it.
  14. The one bad thing about the WCHA breakup is the Minnesota media would at least notice in passing this weekends series between St Cloud and North Dakota. It is a November series and things could change, but when Bob Motzko St Cloud teams and North Dakota teams are this good in the first half of the season you can expect really good things in March. North Dakota has always been my favorite rival, and despite the arrogance of North Dakota fans it's based on hockey. When you go to a St Cloud Gopher game you can tell half the Gopher "fans" have been to about one other college hockey game in their life.
  15. So if I say something that at this point despite several replies nobody has disagreed with about white people I'm a racist? That's cool. The guy who put all school shootings on the white race as an equal to terrorism of course is just a nice guy who has no bias at all. Every Republican has been called racist so much the last 7 years the term has become meaningless. I didn't even say anything bad about any race all I said is white people do not support school shootings and regardlesss of politics want's to do something about them.
  16. I wasn't the one who brought up the white race
  17. School shootings were compared to terrorist bombings. I see no disagreement to the point I made. The overreaching to call people on my side of the argument racist is disgusting. Don't call me and everyone that agrees with me racist, and then when I challenge it change the context so it fits your argument.
  18. North Dakota got a cute new nickname just in time to be swept in St Cloud
  19. The difference more then 99.99% of white people would do everything in their power to stop a school shooting. If White people were blowing people up, and having large scale attacks as often as we're seeing what wouldn't you do to stop it? I get that people can feel powerless to stop it but at least shout about it if nothing else.
  20. The other 3 high schools in South Dakota must have had down years?
  21. This was the debate for Paul to get a bump, if he can get just get to 5th in the polls he becomes a factor again. basically just has to pass Bush, or wait for one of the top 4 to take a nosedive. On this date in 2011 Santorum was polling at 1.5 natioanlly compared to Pauls 3.0 and he won several states including Iowa, also this was the day in 2011 when Herman Cains nose dive started.
  22. Survey USA is solid, maybe not the best but when there showing big leads for Republicans in Minnesota, you have to wonder what the heck Democrats are thinking. Any other candidate would destroy every Republican in Minnesota. Maybe Clinton deserves to be president in some people's minds but the fact people don't like her should matter.
  23. Maybe it's not change in the direction you want, or maybe it's not enough change, but Ted Cruz would be huge change. You are right for the most part as I even have my doubts on Rand Paul, and Trump would be no change at all.
  24. I'll take the policy of Bill Clinton over the potential of Ted Cruz, and thats with allowing Clinton to flip all he wants on social issues.
  25. Maybe, then again Mondale won Minnesota.
