  1. You don't think Bernie and his crowd don't represent that in some ways? Maybe it's to a lesser degree then Black lives matter and occupy Wall Street, but it appears to exist. I do think the people who still think political candidates can be the solution aren't going to be the problem.
  2. True, but that alone is not a problem. We could solve that overnight by making everyone worse off. I want to focus on the actual problem and we don't do that by focusing on something that doesn't need to be fixed. I'd prefer the wealthy gain 50% (buying power) and the poor gain 3% then the wealthy gaining 1% and the poor gaining 2% I sure hope no reasonable person would disagree with that.
  3. If things continue to become worse off no question about that. We can disagree on the fix, but if the focus isn't about the fix we have a major problem. All we can do is try even if we expect failure. I can't see how Democrats ideas will fix this problem and I'm guessing Democrats feel the same way about Republicans. How we get around that problem I don't know. By the way how bad can it be all the economic #'s look fine, why do both Republicans and Democrats both agree we are heading for a revolution? Ah, what difference does it make.
  4. No it's not I cheer for standing up for whats right and make sense and against things that aren't. I cheer for doing things that work not caring at all what sounds like help. I cheer for benefiting all or as close to all as possible. Never do I think oh gosh we might not win a future election if the other side plays politics with this or we end up being wrong, I don't think the country can afford us thinking that way. In my opinion the Republican party in action has moved to the left since 1994. In rhetoric they may very well have moved to the right, and on some issues where the public has moved all the way to the left the majority of Republicans haven't moved much in that direction, but they sure didn't move to the right. Do you really think there weren't Republicans like Michele Bachmann or name your favorite Republican "Villain" 20 or 30 years ago? Back then the media just had overwhelming power to frame the issues and presented the the more moderates as the face and thus the outer edge of the Republican party.
  5. While there are times when something actually does need to be done, those situations tend to be met with swift action from both sides even if they have to work through some disagreement. Not only don't I want most of what Democrats want to get done, I don't want much of what the Republican get stuff down crowd wants. I'd like certain things done, but if Democrats want to stop it for whatever reason I'm fine with that. If John McCain and Mitch McConnell Thad Cochran and Lindsey Graham want to stop it I'm not nearly as fine with it, but thats why they invented primaries.
  6. Besides the one ESPN has already done the only thing I can think of is something on Sid Hartman. It will be interesting to hear the national perspective when he goes 20 or 30 years from now.
  7. How far right have Republicans moved since 1994? You tell me. A little odd that Republicans get picked apart for not "working together" but the idea that Democrats aren't is applauded. For the record I don't care if Democrats work with Republicans or not, if they win elections they can do what they want.
  8. What came first him flipping on those issues making him a Republican, or his decision to run as a Republican forcing him to flip on those issues. He sure doesn't talk about this issues much even when asked. You know what I think.
  9. I don't know if Bernie can do it but don't count on Clinton just yet. At this point in the last 4 open races the leader fell short, and Clintons lead in 08 was just about this big.
  10. I agree McCain and Dole were a different kind of Republican, but it's odd during the "work together" days we saw middle of the road policy and now we see a lot of very liberal policy. Maybe more then one party was working together back then. Clinton sure seemed to have a willingness to work with Republicans, but now if Ted Cruz asked for what Newt Giengrich and Clinton agreed to he'd be called an obstructionist extremist.
  11. The guys 69 years old, he is a life long Democrat. His stances on a lot of important issues are still consistent with the Democrat party. If I was a democrat and wanted to ruin the Republican nomination process for my friend Hillary Clinton I would do exactly what Trump is doing. It's not a major conspiracy. If he's actually a Republican he would be capable of explaining his Obama vote and what changed. It's the Clinton playbook. Fail in 2008 try to cheat in 2016. When's Twinsfest hopefully these lies will be exposed by then and we can focus on baseball.
  12. He voted for Obama, so I guess it is a fact he seems to be a Democrat most of the time.
  13. What. Listen I'm sorry that I don't trust a guy who voted for Obama, but I don't. I think it's pretty clear that is not something I'm lying about. Could he win election and then act like a republican? Sure. If he ends up acting like the average Republican thats still a long ways from Cruz, but I suppose him being similar to Cruz is a possibility. I'm kind of chuckling that I'm even typing that as it just doesn't as I don't really think things that are one in a million are worth mentioning. Then again maybe I'm just a big liar and actually think Trump and Cruz are identical Twins. The fact I'm not convinced Trump isn't still a Democrat is a factor in my honest opinion that I'm probably lying about. At least I wasn't called racist this time, just a liar. I get it you don't think Trump will start acting like a Democrat if elected, I don't either, but he will be far more like Bush then Scott Walker or Ted Cruz. Or in other words probably one of the worst presidents ever. Can we be done with this or do Democrats have to pretend Republicans are in love with Trump until the election is over?
  14. Outside of having a general idea what to say now that he's a "Republican" I see very few similarities between Trump and Cruz. Cruz has a record for fighting for the values that I expect all elected Republicans to fight for Trump is slightly to the left of Bush and has no track record of having any political conviction which probably doesn't matter because he doesn't seem to have any political conviction. If Cruz is elected he's a rare Republican who I wouldn't expect to fall short. With Trump I just hope the things he fights for aren't the things I oppose which to me makes him no different from Obama and Clinton. I could say Clinton and Sanders are identical and in a lot of ways they are very similar, but the only thing that counts is potential results and much like Trump and Cruz they are very different.
  15. So Cruz agree's with one of Trumps stated opinions in regards to anything that isn't already illegal? As for Cruz not bashing Trump why would you? An sane person watches Trump and doesn't need someone else to point out what a reckless idiot Trump appears to be. Meanwhile Trump has showed that if you do that Trump and his manipulation of the media will make you pay. If Trump is foolish enough to think Cruz respects him he (or the guy he's pretending to be) is even more of a fool then I originally thought.
  16. Which are what? His opinion is make America great again? Thats not an opinion. Maybe pretty much the same as Cruz is his opinion. I'll ask again and maybe get an answer, what are Trumps opinions you know since you seem to think he's the face of the Republican party and can somehow drag down candidates like Cruz despite the fact he is a friend of the Clintons and an Obama voter, I know I know that's not a Democrat.
  17. Any Gopher fans have that team figured out? I guess it was a fairly weak recruiting class by Gopher standards and of course they did lose a lot but typically the Gophers don't struggle like this. That being said if they can just beat up on Ohio State Wisconsin and Michigan State they should be a factor for an at large bid at least up until the final week or two of the season.
  18. What are Trumps opinions?
  19. Come to think of it Democrats would probably have no problem with Trump. But god forbid Marco Rubio takes a sip of water.
  20. So if Donald Trump or Ted Cruz wandered back onto the stage mid question would sorry cut it?
  21. Hillary Clinton doing a very good job calling her friend and Obama voter Donald Trump a racist. Good that she's focused on the issues that matter most and not the garbage we saw at republican debates. Wait wasn't the problem with the Republican debate the focus on Trump?
  22. Great comedy from the Democrats again tonight. Hey I wonder why they hide all these debates on Saturday nights.
  23. The point was made pretty clearly. Of course another point was made, but it kind of got overshadowed when the point was made. By the way why do you think the fake Republican who voted for Obama is going out of his way to appear racist? it's so easy to spew this stuff when you think nobody will call you out on it.
  24. Right, that's like saying a certain percent of people who support higher taxes and are pro choice think they are conservative. You know how you can tell if a Trump supporter isn't conservative? Ask them if they support Trump. Listen there is pretty solid evidence Trump is a friend of the Clinton's and they play a role in his campaign. Maybe he's just this much of a shmuck and the Clinton's are taking advantage of that, but this is a guy who up until 2008 supported liberal policy and voted for Barrack Obama. One of three things have to be true. One sometimes Democrats are really racist. 2 Trump while playing the role of fake Republican thinks being really racist will accomplish what he set out to accomplish. 3 Trump recently changed his mind on just about anything notably becoming really racist despite the fact 9-11 was way before 2008.
