    Jorge Polanco was placed on the injured list on April 15 with a right wrist contusion as well as left Achilles bursitis. He was scheduled to play for Triple-A Syracuse before returning to the majors, but the Mets have instead decided to proceed with further evaluation of the ankle in New York. The 32-year-old switch-hitting Polanco, who signed a two-year, $40 million contract in the offseason to be the team's replacement for Pete Alonso, has appeared in just 14 games for the Mets and is hitting .179 with a home run and two RBIs.

    Remember a couple of years ago when there was a lot of chatter about how great it will be when Lee, Martin and Lewis would man the infield. Welp, here we are........

    My understanding is it was 1 and 1/2 years of Berrios control. Same as Joe Ryan right now. Neither player recieved for Berrios will be an all star. The Twins immediatly tried to change Martins swing to generate more power. They also had him play shortstop for a long time in the minors even though most scouts said he will not play there in the major league. Head scratching decisions the both of them that proved to be futile. I would hope for better results if the Twins trade Ryan. Did the Twins win the trade? I'm calling it a tie with a slight edge to the Twins. Very slight.

    Cheifs and Vikings are tied 7-7. Mahomes and Mcarthy both looked good but defenses are dominating the game.

    Rocco would have pulled Joe in that situation.

    My grandsons 10th grade baseball game was cancelled because fo the rain, not sure which team would play crisper baseball, them or the current Twins on the field.

    I say walk the bases loaded with nobody out. That way they don't score any runs. Works for the Twins.

    I'm an hour west of Target Field and it's raining cats and dogs, plenty of lightening also.

    Gray hiy an outside pitch to the opposite field. He did not insist on trying to pull the outside pitch. Royce, take note.

    Loved him as a player and competitor. He does have the face for radio but not the gift of gab needed to do the play by play. I will miss your moniker.

    a little off topic: Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Griffin Jax left his start against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night a few batters after being hit in the back by a line drive in the second inning.
