  1. Not many games were on TV at that time but I remember Walker having a hard time actually getting his glove on the ball. Didn't Julien play 2nd in college?
  2. If the Yankees get the first pick then yes.
  3. One team playing uninspired, one team hustling. Hustling even on a ground ball 30 feet from first base.
  4. I was told there would not be any math.
  5. Hard to believe but I think Davis's ERA is going to climb up.
  6. Adams looks more confident tonight than he has in the past couple of appearances.
  7. Thanks Cody. As a Twins fan since they arrived in Bloomington I now feel that hope for a good team is again lost for multiple years. Hope that David can again slay Goliath. But David just traded all of his rocks to Goliath for pebbles. Pebbles that may some day become rocks but will be cheaper non the less. The wounds of lost hope are still burning and the salve(the supposed overwhelmed by prospects) are no where to be seen except for one, who looks like a deer in the headlights on the MLB field. I know it's still early (where have we heard this recently) since the transactions but this really really looks like a penny pinching/sell for parts move and there is no way around it.
  8. a one run victory that the 'new look' bullpen was able to hold. A nice win for the Twins. It will be a week or so before the shock of Bloody Thursday wears off for me. I guess I held too much hope for the roster this year.
  9. I agree with Aggies7, Clemens is the only fringe guy I want on the team next year. Plus he can pitch......
  10. I can assure you it's nothing proveable or printable on this forum without getting banned.
  11. "The best way to play outfield is to swing that bat". Lenny Green, former Twins outfielder.
  12. So he is really good against ambidextrous hitters..........
  13. I'm starting to think that MLB is getting like the NBA and NFL. Highest paid player is the boss bull in the locker room and gets anointed 'team leader'.
  14. That would ruin my predicted final score.......
  15. Provich mentioned about a month ago that Correa spends two hours before every game getting his feet ready to play in the field. Having had plantar fasciitis I'm willing to give Correa a pass on his struggles. I will miss his defense and understand that the Twins were paying him shortstop money, not third base money so he should be playing shortstop.
  16. One thing about the Twin pitching staff the fielders should be on their toes.
  17. Cle 8 Min 5 No lead is going to be safe with the 'new look; bullpen.
  18. I thought 75% because we have Ryan and possibly Lopez pitching if they don't have another injury pop up. And yes, lazy effort should find the bench.
  19. I don't get it. If Sabato's numbers are not good enough for a call up what do you do with him this winter when he has to be added to the 40 man roster or exposed to waivers for $100,000? Play him over Clemons who is a waiver wire level player. If you're going into the 'next phase' of building a championship team(cough cough) get on with it. The Twins will be underdogs in 75% of the games the rest of this year. PLay the young guys who might bring some enthusiasm to the field. Friday and Saturdays games were the same old same old, the Twins were out hustled by a large margin, out played and continued to ignore situational hitting. I'm starting to think the slugging percentage numbers and micro stat numbers on exit velocities and angle and blah blah blah do not encourage 'little ball skills' which is why the Twins manager and players ignore working on them. Before Bloody Thursday I posted that the Twins were lolligagers and nothing has changed since then from some of the players. Players that at least hustle and give 100% become fan favorites and right now I do not see any on the roster looking like they will be the next fan favorite. The players have all the enthusiasm of two loggers cutting down a tree.
