  1. That was not even close. Not even Buxton gets a double on that.
  2. Maybe Mauer had a tee time this morning that he had made a week ago and Molitor didnt want to mess with that
  3. Yes, you are being silly. Your arguments last night were that Gallo should've informed his manager not to do anything "stupid", in the middle of an inning, from left field. And then you were mad that a catcher stepped on dozier after jumping to catch a ball. And then you were mad that the manager challenged a very close play because his replay guy was probably unsure of exactly if/when dozier's cleats touched the plate. No one on the Twins was angry about the situation. No one on this board is angry about this situation besides you. If Gibson came out today and intentionally plunked Gallo, he'd deserve to be sent down to the minors for the rest of the year. Get over it. You're getting worked up over a situation you've manufactured in your head.
  4. So bat Dozier in the 3 or 4 spot. Bat Kepler in the 3 or 4 spot. Bat Grossman in the 3 or 4 spot. Put someone at first base who has actually played first base before. Give Mauer a different day off.
  5. This honestly has to be the ****tiest MLB lineup of the year. Adrianza at 1st base, Escobar in the 3 hole, Gimenez batting cleanup...what the hell is Molitor even doing?
  6. I believe it was acceptable as Dozier still had a lane to the plate? I'm not sure though and I'm far too lazy to go looking up the exact rules at the moment.
  7. C'mon now. I even made a post earlier today in another thread about wishing Molitor would bench Dozier today for his half assed base running yesterday, and saying he should've stood up for Sano when he got ejected the other day. But nothing that happened here is even remotely worth being upset about. 1. A player got hit on the hands by a breaking ball 2. there was a close play at home that inadvertently resulted in dozier getting stepped on because the catcher had to jump to catch the ball 3. there was a manager challenge because it was a close play and the texas replay guy probably wasn't sure when Dozier's spike actually touched the plate or if it missed on the side None of these things are an issue worth plunking someone over.
  8. Is this a serious post? Gallo is in left field. Did you expect him to run to the dugout and argue with his manager when he saw they were thinking of challenging a close play at home? And a breaking ball in on the hands isn't a reckless pitch. They're thrown numerous times every game, that one just got away from the guy.
  9. There was nothing intentional in Sano getting hit or Dozier getting stepped on a bit. Gallo had a great throw and the catcher made a great attempt at getting Dozier out. Intentionally plunking Gallo is just going to result in Sano getting plunked again tomorrow, but intentionally this time around.
  10. His initial reaction looked bad, but he didn't look too phased going back to the dugout. Let us hope that they just pulled him to be safe and because we have a decent lead. If Sano goes down with an injury, our offense is in trouble.
  11. if he hits 30 home runs in August, maybe we can get more than 1 injured pitching prospect for him in the offseason. Or at the very least we can get a 100 page thread where we discuss the same things repeatedly for a few months.
  12. Over/under on 12 runs scored between the two teams?
  13. The way Smalley talks about Mauer, you'd think it was still 2012.
  14. Dozier should be riding the pine today for that base running. He was barely even jogging until he was halfway to first base. And speaking of throwing a fit, I would've liked to see Paul show a little fire the other day when Sano got ejected after getting rung up on a terrible pitch too. Say what you will about Gardy, but at least the players knew he had their backs and that he was going to fight for them. Maybe it's just because I watch hockey too, where the coaches are much more prone to fits of rage, but I think seeing the manager get fired up can often fire up a team thats beaten down. If the manager seems like he doesn't give a damn, and the "leader" of the team is playing like he doesn't give a damn, why should we be surprised when the younger guys start dialing it in too?

  16. So, which of our 6 mop up guys is going to come in next inning?
  17. And then Gibson on Saturday!
  18. Good lord, what is going on here? Rosario drops a ball, Mejia can't put out Gomez after an 0-2 count and now Mauer drops a ball.
  19. Lot of mental mistakes so far this game. Bad throw by Buxton, bad base running by Dozier, bad catch by Rosario. Not good.
  20. And if I was Molitor I'd be benching Dozier's ass for that. Can't have one of the leaders of your team playing like that with no consequences.
  21. That was some seriously half assed base running by Dozier. Embarrassing.
  22. Is Griffin related to Jered Weaver? All these sub 70mph pitches is throwing me off. Apparently its doing the same thing to the Twin's hitters too. Edit: Spoke too soon. I guess slow tossing junk ballers don't phase Buxton.
  23. At least he can pronounce player names, unlike Bert.
  24. At what point is this FO going to realize that Kyle Gibson is not a good pitcher? Reminds me of Blackburn at this point. I guess they just see the one good season and ignore the other awful ones.
  25. Seriously. Even if he threw a perfect strike to home there, it still wouldn't have been a close play.
