  1. A Triple-A LH pitcher with a 2.81 ERA...color me impressed!
  2. I don’t have a list, but I do have an observation. Having just finished listening to the Gleeman & the Geek podcast, the “list” includes most valuable Twins, in light of this week’s trade deadline….not the most valuable players. The biggest take-away from listening to the podcast and reading Seth’s list, is how little the current list of Twins veterans have value, in terms next year’s team. It becomes even more evident when you remove current players that were prospects as recent as of a year ago. Of the veterans on the Twins current squad, Dozier, Duffy and May made the top 10 (May fell out of the Top 10 on Gleeman’s list), while Buxton, Sano and Kepler, were all prospects last year (and in the minors). Other veterans (Santana, Rosario and Gibson) fell short of the top 10 list. Half of everyone’s list -Berrios, Gordon, Jay, Polanco and Gonsalves, fall into the “prospect” list (6 of 10 on Seth’s list), even though this is a most valuable Twin list (in terms of trade value). After reading these lists and thinking about what this means to the team, I now have a clear understanding why so many TD writers and participants have a strong desire to bring up the young prospects and let them play on the major league club.
  3. Didn't expect it now...but I'm not really surprised.
  4. Thank goodness...finally got out of that inning.
  5. You're right about T. Jay listed as the starter in Ft. Myers, their website claims Jay is the starter, but he's not on their roster.
  6. Don't know about anybody else, but after a four-game winning streak and a series sweep, I'm actually excited for today's game!
  7. If the Twins actually have a one year and $3-4 million offer in front of Bastardo, it would be the same as trying not to be taken seriously. I realize that that type of offer would have been considered a competitive offer in prior years, but not so much now, Although, I really wouldn’t want the Twins to go in on a three-year $18 million deal….I’d sure like to have a lefty that is good at strikeouts! I’d go high for one maybe two years.
  8. That's what the general pronunciation has been...although I was just listening to Reusse and he seems to be making the mistake I made up until yesterday.
  9. I’m a little reluctant from providing the phonetic pronunciation of Byung Ho Park’s name because I think my earlier comment was interpreted as making fun of his name, when I really was pronouncing it incorrectly and I was embarrassed about my mistake. It seems that most radio and TV guys are saying “Be-Young Ho”, so that’s my interpretation of the correct phonetic pronunciation of his name.
  10. Time to learn the correct pronunciation of our new slugger. Imagine my embarrassment when I've been pronouncing his name very similar to a vulgar term related to an individual's rear end....just heard the correct way to say his name on the nightly news and boy was I off....
  11. After writing game thread starters over the weekend, I have a new appreciation for what you do starting each series off for us! I wrote only two game thread starters and I understand what you mean when you say "...I'm running out of things to think about when it comes to Cleveland". Love what you do here Riverbrian!
