  1. 25 players in the AL hit 30 or more HRs this year. Only 18 starters had an ERA under 4. I'd rather get some pitching help.
  2. He's on his way. A 3.39 ERA with a 9.8 K/9 as a 19 year old? We are talking about Julio Urias, right?
  3. But in this scenario you'd have a great young pitcher in return instead of nothing.
  4. I'd agree, but Sano hasn't shown that he is an elite hitter yet. I think I'd make the trade if I were the Twins.
  5. There's no way the Dodgers would give up Urias for Dozier in a 1-for-1 trade. I think Dozier's got more value to the Twins than what they could get in a trade.
  6. I think the Dodgers would say no on that one.
  7. I'd just like to thank the Grizzlies for giving us their JV team tonight. It's very much appreciated.
  8. I'm really happy with the contract Gorgui got. He's underrated outside of Timberwolves fans.
  9. I'd be ok with that, but I'm not sure what to expect from Melotakis. The 11.3 K/9 last year is nice, but the 9.7 H/9 is pretty bad.
  10. Chargois and Melotakis shouldn't really be pitching more than one inning at a time, just saying.
  11. Same story, different night. KAT, where are you??? And Rubio might be hurt. This season couldn't have started much worse.
  12. Leidner was 10/19, and many of his completions were inaccurate enough that it didn't allow for any yards after the catch. I wouldn't call him efficient today. Rodney Smith and Shannon Brooks are such a great tandem, I wonder what they would look like with a good quarterback.
  13. It's a disappointing loss, especially seeing the 3 pt. defense and offense struggle again, but KAT and Rubio both had bad games, they shot uncharacteristically bad from the line, and the bench did nothing, and they still should have won on the road against a playoff team from last year. If they lose to the Kings tonight though...
  14. Well the Cubs just got 2 outs by the umpire and one from Lindor falling asleep at first. Real nice start.
  15. Well I think the defense of Gasol is a reason why he didn't spend as much time inside as he usually will this year.
  16. Those sloppy passes sure didn't help, but like you said earlier, somebody has to make 3's on this team, and Zach is the guy to do that. I also liked him attacking the rim quite a bit last night.
  17. That's a tough loss to take. Memphis is a tough matchup, and it was on the road, but they started Andrew Harrison, JaMichael Green, and James Ennis. That's got to be a win. 6 made 3's for the Wolves. That's not going to get it done. Poor bench play and poor free throw shooting didn't help either
  18. Chandler Parsons is out, so that helps. Talent-wise, this should be a Wolves win on the road, but Memphis is always a tough team to beat.
  19. Clint Frazier is coming off a .263/.335/.447 (.825) season with 13 steals at AA in 119 games. Solid numbers, but how does such a ridiculous question make its way into a chat? Also, even mentioning Buxton in this answer is discrediting the sky-high potential that Buxton showed in the minors.
  20. Let's hope so. It's just preseason, but he almost literally couldn't have played worse on offense than he did. I thought he might adjust quicker because of his age and experience, but it looks like there will still be a significant learning period. His defense should keep him in the rotation as backup point guard, but the reports that the team thinks he will become the starter 20 games in are ridiculous and disrespectful to Rubio.
  21. Good idea. Just let go of Adrien Payne. Bentil would be a nice upgrade at the end of the bench with some real upside. He and Dunn sure were fun to watch play together last year.
  22. Buxton had a higher OPS this year than Pillar has had in either of his two full years. I might pick someone else to study when it comes to hitting.
  23. Great game! Even though a low scoring 9 inning game shouldn't be 4 hours and 32 minutes. Kenley Jansen was clutch, and seeing Kershaw close it out was pretty cool.
  24. The 7th inning of the Dodgers-Nats game just took 1 hour and 6 minutes. This is the trouble with enjoying playoff baseball: too many pitching changes and way too long commercials.
