  1. Chris Parmelee and Kennys Vargas had immediate success. It was the following seasons that were the problem, but that probably had more to do with their talent than them skipping AAA.
  2. I'm with you on Wells, but Blankenhorn could probably use some more time in CR. He's been great in June, but struggled before that.
  3. Why would you give up Dozier if you're trying to contend? You lost me there.
  4. I expected the pitching to be bad, but the offense doing nothing against mediocre pitching in this series was the most frustrating for me.
  5. The days don't line up for a regular start, but how unusual would it be to call a guy like Fernando Romero up for just the doubleheader? It would seem like a win win, especially when the alternative is Adam Wilk, who you can't expect a whole lot from anyway.
  6. The Twins are catching the Mariners at a bad time. Every mistake is being hit hard somewhere. I thought Santana looked pretty good. He just hung a few sliders, and he didn't get away with it.
  7. Aaron Hicks has a near 1.000 OPS, and he wasn't the prospect that Buxton was. I'm half joking, but Buxton is still just 23 years old. There's still the potential he can become a very good hitter.
  8. I think you can afford to have one guy in the lineup who's not hitting when he is elite in the field.
  9. I'm happy overall with how it played out. I wanted either McKay or Wright at 1-1, but I can live with the upside pick of Lewis. The next 3 picks sound promising too, especially Enlow and Rooker.
  10. Kyle Gibson wasn't very good, but there were a few positives. He faced the same team twice in a row, and that team's offense is rolling right now. Also, he attacked the zone, 0 walks.
  11. Maybe when he stops being valuable to the Twins. Did you watch the game Buxton sat against the Giants? Those 2 doubles Berrios gave up would have been caught if Buxton were playing.
  12. If he does go to CR, hopefully it's a short stay. I'd like to see him start out in a Miracles jersey.
  13. The writeup said he's one of the few true SS in the class. Also interesting, I know some here really like Jo Adell, but KLAW only had him ranked one spot higher.
  14. Coming into today, Keith Law had Blayne Enlow #1 and Ricardo de la Torre #9 on his best available. Not a bad day. Enlow #14 overall and de la Torre at #51.
  15. I've always been intrigued by Jorge despite the low K numbers because he's gotten results in every other category and reportedly has good stuff. His time in Ft. Myers last year was amazing, a 1.55 ERA in 93 innings.
  16. Nice article. It should be fun to see what numbers he can put up in what will hopefully be a quick path through the minors.
  17. And he has to hit a lot to be valuable because he can't field or run. I'd have to think there's a trade to an AL team in the future.
  18. The 2 AL leaders in ERA are lefties who rarely throw above 90. The best postseason pitcher of this era throws 90-92.
  19. I get that. I'd be way more excited if he sat in the mid-90's, but with his other pitches and his control, I can see him at the top of a rotation. A lot of pitchers succeed throwing 90-94.
  20. I thought it would have been fun to follow Tyler Kolek's progression too.
  21. There's a reason McKay is viewed as a top 5 pick by everyone. Great command, great curveball, and a good fastball. Who is projecting him as a back end starter?
  22. For me, I'd lean towards Wright, but McKay is right there too.
  23. Jermaine Palacios hit 2 HRs on Friday, and he hasn't played since. Any news on an injury or something?
  24. Zach Granite is continuing is hot streak, and this is while Eddie Rosario has hit .215 with a .656 OPS over the last 28 days.
  25. Berrios looked very good again, and I think those 2 doubles he gave up would have been caught by Buxton. I guess Berrios drew the short stick in having both Grossman and Rosario in the outfield for his start.
