    So it's a pick and choose buffet when it comes to standing by what Ryan says? If he knows more about baseball than everyone else, shouldn't everyone just agree with everything he says and does? Should cut down on the debates here, that's for sure. Then we can move on to how Gardy knows more about baseball and remove all debates about things related to his job too. And so on, and so on...

    I was wondering when this card would be used...

    an update: 28th ranked rotation ERA in baseball, 26th in WHIP, last in BAA, last in Ks, last in IP. (IP stat is a bit deceiving due to the fact we've played less games than most teams, but we're still really low....only averaging 5 1/3 IP). 28th in quality starts (again games played has an affect, still really bad though). We're on pace to have about the same QS as last year. Now for the most important stat for pitchers as far as the Twins go...walks. Our rotation has given up the least amount of walks.

    I'm talking about how it's affected the lineup from last year to this year. Mauer has ONLY batted 2nd this year. I read somewhere, maybe in here, that we have one of the worst heart of the order 3/4/5 in baseball stats-wise. Do you remember seeing that in here?

    It'd be a trend if it happened all the time. It's not even happening right now and even if it was, it'd be nothing more than a a coincidence. On top of that, there's certainly no evidence they're in last because they spent.

    I have no idea when he'll be where. After reading those quotes, I still can't speculate. I still have no idea if there is a preset time frame or not :-)

    hard to write off a 24 year old who did as well as he did in the minors and has only had 22 MLB starts

    I agree. Not only that, some would say Cuddyer, Nathan and Kubel were part of that core built around.

    I hope Buxton ends up being more of a middle of the order guy.

    why ignoring Puck? Rever is not a protypical leadoff guy. He doesn't get on base enough for that. Speed doesn't equal leadoff hitter.

    The .333 OBP that vacated the #2 spot was enough of a loss we now have to use our #3 hitter in the #2 spot...and the ripple down that causes.

    exactly. I remember saying that the offense was gonna take a hit with the loss of our #1 and #2 hitters. Never for a moment did I think our offense would be 'very good.'

    They mirror Gardy and the FO. Gardy seems down on him now, so they aren't going to overly praise him. Heck they still slam players Gardy didn't like a season or two after they're gone.

    Happens often that a team drafts a guy and can't sign him. You'd figure those teams knew what it'd take as well before pulling the trigger too but it didn't work out. He's pumped to go play football at A&M. Someone will take a shot and it's a very risky chance to take.
