  1. I wonder if the Twins might claim a guy with one of the open 40 man spots? Many other teams have been shedding players like Achter and Pinto, so perhaps TR is searching the waiver wire for any potential. If not, maybe we could still add Michael/Jones/Jorge tonight. I'm not convinced that the Twins will use that roster spot for a Rule 5 guy.
  2. I'm a bit sad to see Achter and Pinto go, but I guess it had to happen. I hope they'll find success with their new homes. I think Rosario and Landa are a bit odd picks. But hey, I'm no GM. I kinda like the Pat Dean add, but I would have liked to see him get a spot start or two during that "let's have Trevor May throw a 3 inning start" fiasco.
  3. After seeing how many managers got fired mid-season lately, I wouldn't be shocked if Gardy got a job mid-season. Looking at you, Tigers.
  4. Yeah, I think most of us don't think of May as a rookie. He had one heck of a rookie season, though. He was a pretty decent starter for the first half and a very good setup reliever in the second half. He's absolutely ahead of Duffey in my book. Yes, Duffey's starts were better, but he didn't have close to as much impact as May - partly because he was only up for a month and a half.
  5. I still believe Perkins can be the closer next year. When he's healthy and well-rested, I'd bet he'll be back to his early 2015 form - or close to it.
  6. Yes, this. Or, actually try using O'Rourke as a LOOGY. I know they don't trust him because he's a rookie and walks too many guys, but he's still really good versus lefties.
  7. I don't want to pile the hate on Perkins... but how many games has he lost in this playoff race? Ugh. Molitor needs to figure out how to use his bullpen better. Too many "WTF" decisions so far. May should have been out there right after Santana.
  8. Phil Hughes just got scratched due to an illness. Tommy Milone will start today instead of Hughes. He'll go up against Kluber. This should be interesting...
  9. Oh, whoops, I was so excited to see the Astros losing that I forgot to check what inning it was.
  10. Meanwhile, Houston is losing again. We gotta get this win and keep on playing like this against Detroit.
  11. We're back at 2 games behind Houston. It isn't quite over yet, folks. All we have to do is tie up with Houston and we have a chance.
  12. And a Danny Santana pinch hit as a cherry on top....
  13. I'm glad I won't have to tune into the Twins game tonight, thanks to the score so far. All my focus will be on the Vikes in a little bit. Don't blow this lead, Twins! I can't pay attention to two games at once!
  14. Yes, I would definitely look into a trade. It would be very prudent of the Twins to give Washington a call.
  15. This just in: Escobar is just 7 points away from being the team leader in batting average - and if you don't count Sano, he's tied for the lead with Rosario. (!!!!)
  16. Eddie Escobar has put the team on his back and he's carrying it. This is fun to watch.
  17. What's the cool Oregon Trail/Joe Mauer on T-Rex all about? It looks amazing, but why does it exist?
  18. I just got here recently. Does this make sense in context?
  19. They're both playing SS, both playing 9th, both named Escobar... Coincidence? I think NOT!
  20. I bet we both typed it in at the same time. You know what they say, geniuses think alike!
  21. So much for Chris Sale being elite. Seems like he's good against everyone except for the Twins.
  22. Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino Source confirms: No call-up for ROC RHP Jose Berrios, at least for now. Has 1 start left for Red Wings. Ugh.
  23. Probably because they aren't going to call him up at all... Sigh...
