  1. Madre Dos, it's got to be a lot of work for you to take these players in, but also a lot of fun. And a thrill when one does make the big leagues. Have you always been a baseball fan, and how did you get started taking in the players. That had to be a big decision.
  2. That's cool, and great for those guys doing it. I can see this snowballing.
  3. My first thought when the trades was announced was "Oh NO! Now we keep Ploof". I was so hoping Ploof would bring back some catching help, and could have. Now this morning listening to TR with Dave and Sid, Ploof isn't going anywhere. Going by what TR said, Ploof is locked in at 3rd base. He said the plan is for Sano to play right field. Sano is about to start getting playing time there now. There's been talk here on Ploof playing outfield but as I've stated over and over, he's slow. He can't play outfield without a huge dropoff. So, TR also sees Sano as the better athlete. Sano should be at 3rd base IMO. Just maybe, when Buxton does join the team, Ploof will be dealt. About the only thing I liked in this interview was the fact that TR, when asked about Max in AAA, TR said not at all the plan. He heaped praise on Kepler and said he'd have a good shot at making the team and can play all 3 outfield positions. So, when, and if, Buxton and Max do join the team, Ploof will have to go! I can't wait.
  4. Good article Thrylos, this guys sounds like he just might be able to help us out. That would be great!
  5. I don't see any way Poof can play outfield. He gets slower every time he gets out of bed. We had a decent outfield last year and I'd hate to see that drop off a cliff. Neither should Sano be in the outfield, he's a third baseman. So one of these guys has to go, and it's easy to see which one.
  6. Having seen Buxton in Ft Myers and his brief stints with the Twins I have my doubts about his plus plus arm. So maybe SD or someone who has seen more of him can compare it with, say Rosario and Hicks. Thanks.
  7. I'd hate to see Justin get hurt again, as I'm sure he'll guard against. So just maybe he'd agree to be the full time DH. I'd much rather we brought him back than Cuddy. Then again, maybe Morneau will just retire to his family and cars.
  8. Thanks for the reports. Been a long time playing ball for some of these guys, as some were down there in January. I hope to be back down this winter, but have no place to stay this year. If you hear of anything not to expensive, please let me know!
  9. I have to disagree. Ploof has got to go for this team to take steps forward. Mark my words.
  10. Will we have any more chicken this season?
  11. I just didn't have much confidence in Perkins here. Now we're backs against the wall.
  12. Santana needs a crisp first inning to set the pace.
  13. Nope, being honest. I thought they said 13, but either way he's got to tempt them off the plate with 2 strikes. Like that slider down last night. He's given up some big hits on 0-2 counts. We'll probably need him a couple more times this year so let's hope he's back to first half form.
  14. No. And he's looking for trouble throwing 0-2 strikes.
  15. He wants to be in the majors and his ship sailed when they hired Molitor. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
  16. That was just what the announcers said as they were going nuts. They've probably never walked back there themselves. It was a blast though, wherever it landed.
  17. Have I mentioned Ploof is really slow.
  18. I listened to the game and it was a bit hairy there in the 2nd but DJ got out of it scoreless. A fun game, a loud crowd and a great way to end the season. Kepler's blast landed in the parking lot. Probably the last of Dougie M in the Twins organization.
  19. Although River's writing style is great, I'm pulled toward the points of personality of Sophia.
  20. With these yahoo announcers on Monday night, I just may take mondays off the rest of the year.
  21. Viqueens offense is so bad I may hit the sack at halftime
