  1. Unlike most everyone else, I'm giving Molitor a pass. As he said when hired, there'll be a learning curve, ups and downs. Somehow, someway they had a decent season last year. This years roster was put together with nothing but hope. And I'm not so sure that Buxton making the cut was in any way Molitors decision. Anyway, you can bet that Molly is getting a lot of help and advice or opinions from Vavra, Neil Allen, Eddie. Look at all the different lineups so far he's tried, and nothing seems to work. And now with the release of a couple of guys there'll be more adjusting and fitting going on attempting to find some success. I just don't know if there's any to be found with this bunch of guys.
  2. Relax? Hell yes. Just let it go. Buxton was way over hyped to begin with. He's just another young player in the minor leagues struggling to improve his game. If you want to get worked up over something, pick another player, any player, like Levi Michael or someone. As someone else mentioned, "he'll be fine" is over used. I've never been on his bandwagon and the only time I haven't been relaxed was when he was in the majors. Now he's where he belongs and I'll read about him in the minor league forum like the rest of the players down there. He will be what he will be. Relax.
  3. Congrats on all the jobs guys! Jobs, jobs, jobs, I've had a ton of them, and not one lasting over 6 months. With time goofing off between many of them, all of a sudden the time came to decide to take Soc Sec at 62 or wait. What an easy choice! Now my job is to get both feet to hit the floor every morning and make that meager income last another month. Think I'll go golf.
  4. What's the difference, this is about our catching black hole.
  5. Three nice ERA's starting today. Not much hitting to be found in the entire organization though.
  6. ba-REE-ohs on the spring training roster.
  7. So how's Meyer going to start on tuesday by pitching tonight?
  8. The first couple of times I saw him pitch in spring training he was nervous, and I'd expect that again tonight. Neil Allen mentioned to another pitcher after one outing "did you see that? 6 foot and pitching like he's 5' 8"." Allen knows him well and will help him get through this. I'm so glad he's up and am hoping for the best. He's got a long future.
  9. I went out on a branch there, but Gibson has been a big let down so far. I would not be one bit surprised he is traded this season some time. For sure if Duffey, Berrios and Meyer all show good stuff.
  10. Dozier swung at ball 4 or we might have a run.
  11. If he's paid any attention to what the Twins are doing he's better off signing with any other team. Same could be said for me.
  12. I've got to disagree here Brian. I highly doubt he took anything intentionally. He's not that kind of a guy, and would quit before cheating. He beat all odds to get to where he is. I hope it gets figured out just how this got into his system.
  13. Just below the northern border, but still north of Duluth, we still eat Wheaties. And it is a lot like the 80's.
  14. I've got a friend, retired teacher, who goes to different parks each year with some other guys he taught with. They went to DC this time, and arranged with Amy Klobachar for a tour of the White House. They should have a fun weekend if we can win a game or two.
  15. Thanks, that was great, and she is HOT!
  16. I don't get FSN tonight due to the Wild so have the Brewers feed.
  17. No Polanco in the lineup. Buxton is back.
  18. I'd of been fine if he never came back, but it is what it is.
  19. This team sure can mess up good pitching.
  20. I'd keep my eye on Vielma. He shows promise of figuring it out in the box.
